The space
‘Cottage On the Knoll’
This three bedroom / two bathroom home features a bright and comfortable main area that includes a large kitchen area and living space that is fully stocked with all amenities. Adjacent to the main living area are two bedrooms featuring queen beds and a full bathroom.
A large recreation room downstairs includes a ping pong table, a selection of board games, a mounted TV, and extra seating for fun nights in. The third bedroom with king sized bed and full bath is located downstairs beside the recreation room.
After a day in the mountains, cook a meal in your fully stocked kitchen and kick back and enjoy your evenings outside, where you’ll find a wood fire pit on the side patio and a gas fireplace and hot tub on the large covered porch. High-speed internet and a smart TV with limited channel access will allow you to connect to your own streaming accounts.
Private in-ground swimming pool is open April through October; covered and heated up on request for a fee during cooler months to a temperature of around 80 degrees and available for cottage guests and apartment guests to use during your stay.
** Please note the pool could meet the max number of 8 people if both rentals use it at the same time **

Guest access
Be aware that the driveway to the cottage is gravel and while short in distance, it’s considered steep to some. Four-wheel drive is not necessary, as you can simply drop to a low gear and ease up the driveway.
This is a shared driveway with the guests and farm behind the cottage. You'll find plenty of parking adjacent to the cottage.
The pool is shared with the apartment so, please, no skinny dipping 😬
Other things to note
Your cottage is what you rent, and we pride ourselves on giving 100% respect for all guests’ privacy. We live on the property and are around tending to the farm most days. Feel free to chat with guests if you feel social, but understand if you want to remain 'away' from people on your trip.
The road can be heard from the front porch, but not an issue from inside the house with the windows closed. There is more traffic noise when the leaves are off the trees in the winter, one of the drawbacks to being so convenient to Route 29.
Additionally, mountain life so close to orchards draw ladybugs, fruit flies and stink bugs and is not a reflection of cleanliness but rather a normal part of what to expect in this area.
We take protecting our guests seriously and value keeping a very clean space for you to enjoy.
About the Hosts
Hi! We’re Bobbi and Keith. We’ve been renting to guests since 2015 and love country life and all things outdoors, whether it’s hiking, kayaking, gardening, or tending to our goats, chickens, and cows. We love to travel, but just as happy hanging out on our porch with our two dogs listening to music and enjoying a cold beverage in the evenings.
We love for people to experience Nelson County and everything that our wonderful home has to offer. That's why we started our first vacation rental with plans to eventually expand up the mountain on our property to accommodate more guests.
