This is one of my favorite place on earth.
Walk to Venice Beach where you can stroll the boardwalk, have some fun sunbathing and surfing in the Pacific Ocean, or bike along the beach. (We provide the bikes!) The Venice Canals are right around the corner for a romantic and beautiful experience. Abbot Kinney Blvd is the hottest street in Los Angeles where you can find great food and shopping.
The apartment is brand new (2012) and was designed by interior designer Laurence A.

Great stay at Venice Beach! Laurence has done an amazing job anticipating anything the guest might need during their stay. Great location. Only wish I could have stayed longer!
Great studio apartment. Everything worked perfect
We really loved the location of Laurence's place. It's just a block away from the Venice canals. The bikes were a great perk. We were able to store our bags in their storage room early before check-in time. The room was small but all we needed for two people.
Thank you for everything, Laurence! Your app is such a great, comfortable and clean place in Venice Beach!!! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay there!!! It is all like it is shown and described here!!! We highly recommend this lovley place, it is perfect!!!
Great space in a great neighborhood. Check-in was fluid and Laurence was very responsive. Thanks!
This was our first AirBnB experience and we were delighted! This small studio in Venice was perfect for our 2 night stay in LA. The space was better than I was expecting, the photos don't do it justice! The studio is immaculately clean and beautifully appointed.
It's clear that Laurence has put a lot of effort into hosting and has thought of every amenity to make your stay comfortable. Just some of the notable inclusions were a variety of relaxing bath salts, vanity items, hair dryer AND straightener, plush towels and linens, toaster, microwave, coffee maker with coffee, and a variety of teas and snacks like microwave popcorn! Laurence had even provided a visitors guide to the apartment and recommendations for the area, plus a selection of Lonely Planet books to peruse.
You'll find yoga mats and beach gear (beach towels and a carry tote) for your use, not to mention the bicycles and helmets! Having the dedicated car space was also great and the WIFI worked really well.
I didn't meet Laurence but she was communicative and helpful, answering every question. She also acknowledged our requests to check in early and out late, and while we weren't able to check in early on the day we arrived we were advised as soon as the studio was ready. Check in was a breeze, with no keys required. Luggage storage was kindly offered after we checked out, but we didn't need it thanks to the hire car.
The only negatives were:-
The studio is small and doesn't have any cooking facilities so if you are staying longer than 2 nights you might like a bit more space plus the option to cook meals. For our short stay though it was adequate.
The walls are thin and you can hear noise from the neighbouring apartments, as well as the people upstairs walking around. I suppose this is a given with apartments (the same thing happens in my apartment at home) but it's worth being aware of this. As I could hear noise from others I felt self conscious making any noise myself, and I even felt the TV volume at the lowest setting was too loud at times. Laurence has even prepared for this and has provided her guests with a new box of earplugs in the bedside table to use while sleeping, should you forget your own.
There are no laundry facilities despite being advertised as included with the apartment (the machines are temperamental, apparently), but Laurence offers to take care of any laundry if required. Again, for 2 nights we didn't need this, but probably would have wanted to do laundry if we were staying longer.
I'd definitely recommend Laurence as the perfect host. Her studio is delightful for a short stay. Lastly, don't leave the area without a stroll around the Canals! The houses in the area are very pretty and it's well worth the visit. You hardly believe you are still in Los Angeles!
Laurence's approach is very well-located halfway between Abbot Kinney (main drag with fantastic shops, restaurants and Intelligentsia coffee) and the Venice canals (little-known gem). We didn't have a car during our stay and it worked out fine, even without using the beach cruiser bikes included in the rental. The apartment is spotlessly clean and charmingly decorated, with every possible need anticipated. (Yoga mats? Check. Beach towels? Check. A beach bag? Check. Etc.) Laurence helpfully provided a luxury aerobed for my teenaged son so we didn't have to share the queen-sized bed. Be sure to nail down all details with Laurence before traveling, as communication during our stay wasn't as quick or easy as I've experienced with some other airbnb hosts.
Our stay was great.
The flat is the perfect location to explore Los Angeles.
Parking is for free, also the two beach cruiser.
We felt very save in the area, also by night.
You can walk through Abbout Kinney Blvd.
Very accomodating host, also very responsive. I loved the place, the design is impeccable. It's very clean, the parking spot is a huge bonus especially for this location. I'll definitely stay here again.
Laurence's apartment is beautiful and very cozy. It is furnished very lovely and provides everything you need. The location is perfect as well. The Venice Canals are next door and to the beach it is only a 5 - 10 minutes walk and with the bikes, which are available, even less. We also walked in about 20 minutes to Marina del Rey where we had dinner in the "Cheesecake Factory".
The apartment has its own parking lot which is quite narrow but it was no problem for us although we had an mid-size SUV.
We really recommend this spot and would always come back!
