Location

Pine, Arizona, United States

Pine is a quaint town in the mountains bordering Strawberry, about a 15 minute drive from Payson. It includes a handful of unique antique stores which are always fun to peruse, as well as a variety of bars and diners. One of our favorite restaurants to go for homestyle cooked breakfasts is called The Early Bird Cafe. We also love ordering pizzas at the Pine Deli. The Old County Inn is a town favorite for great food as well.

Pine rests just outside of Payson which has a ton of fast food and sit down restaurants, as well as a movie theater, Walmart, Home Depot, and any other major convenience store to find whatever you may need. One of our favorite restaurants to visit in Payson is a Mexican Food Restaurant called El Rancho.

There are also many beautiful hikes to do all around Pine. Our favorite being the trail to fossil springs. Make sure to bring water as well as your swimsuit to jump in the springs and waterfalls at the end!
Note: Reservations to access Fossil Creek are required from April 1 to October 1, permits are not required during the fall or winter season.
