This cozy 2-bedroom country house sits on 8 acres, sleeps 4 and overlooks Clinton Lake with amazing views. We offer a hot tub, heated pool, kayaks, 10 miles of hiking, hunting, and horse trails. The boat ramp is located at the end of the driveway and across the street. We are located 30 minutes between Bloomington & Champaign. All guests must be 18+. An additional $50 per person per night over 2. Pool open May-Sept. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING TO ENSURE IT MEETS YOUR NEEDS.
The space
The house is 1100sq. ft. with 2 bedrooms, king bed, double bed, and a double sofa bed. Our house is attached to the Airbnb by a breezeway (please see in photos). However, guests have a private entrance as well as private security. We strive to give our guests as much privacy as they desire. We don't use the pool or hot tub while guests are present. However, we may be sighted outdoors doing maintenance on the pool or grounds work. There is no stove but we provide an electric skillet, toaster oven, crockpot, pizzas pizza cooker (12 inch), toaster, blender, Keurig w/ pods, gas grill with propane provided, and firepit with wood provided.
Guest access
Guests have access to all 8 acres of property as well as the use of the kayaks. If kayaks are used, state law requires a floating device in each vessel. Life jackets are available in the tote next to the kayaks.
The pool and hot tub are open until 10:00PM and guests are welcome to use the firepit (firewood is included) anytime as long as quiet hours are respected after 10:00 PM.
The public boat ramp and dock are located at the end of the driveway and across the street.
Other things to note
Early check in or late check out requests: We will do our best to accommodate If we do not have another guest checking in or out before or after your stay. Please note that there will be an additional $75/hourly rate charge for the request.
$150 fee for excessive cleaning beyond normal wear and tear. Please treat the property with the utmost respect and care.
Unfortunately, this property is NOT child-friendly and there are no plans to make it child-friendly at this time for short-term renting. Due to liability reasons, all guests staying at the property MUST be at least 18+ years old regardless of adult/parent supervision being provided.
"At-Your-Own-Risk" safety on the property:
1) Swimming pool - There is no fence around the pool or barriers preventing someone from falling in and drowning. The pool depth ranges from 3 feet to 6 feet. It is open May- September weather permitting.
2) Kayaks - You must have a life jacket in the kayak. They are located in a tote next to kayaks. You are responsible for transporting to and from the boat ramp. Please put them back on the rack.
3) Wooded area - guests are welcome to hike through the 10 miles of woods as it belongs to the DNR, but hunting/trapping is not permitted on the property. Guests need to be aware of their surroundings at all times and it is suggested they wear bright colors when walking in the woods.
