  • Pamela's house was magnificent and big enough to accomodate me and 5 friends. The house was well located at 10 minutes walks from the T and in a safe location. Pamela and her husband was welcoming and available to answer our question rapidely. I would recommand this place without hesitation.

  • Pam was a wonderful host - kept in touch before we got there and gave us all the information we needed for arrival and for our stay. And the house is beautiful! Three charming bedrooms, lovely bathrooms, comfortable common spaces. The location is perfect too - a block off Centre Street and close to the pond and the T. We loved staying here!

I'm so glad it worked out--and thanks for the New Yorker!

  • Pam's JP house provided a welcoming "home away from home" for my son and I for a week in the Boston area. She's created a clean, pretty, light-filled home in a location that's pastoral in one direction (an easy walk to lovely Jamaica Pond), and full of handy treats in another (bakeries, ice cream, good and reasonable restaurants). Extras: the neighborhood is quiet and has its own off-street parking. With three bedrooms and two 1/2 baths, it's an excellent value for a family. (Not as good for those with knee issues, though; steep stairs to bedrooms). As a host, Pam was warm, helpful and accommodating. Two thumbs up!

  • We had a perfect stay at Pamela Hart's beautiful home in Jamaica Plain. The location could not be beat, being only a block from the main drag and very close to restaurants and stores. Pam was very easy to deal with and even put up privacy curtains after I expressed a concern about the lack of doors on two of the bedrooms. She also left us coffee and milk and eggs for breakfast. Truly a five-star experience.

  • Nice location, nice house, great neighbourhood. Easy to reach Boston downtown. Subway 10 minutes walk. Shops 2 minutes away on the Center Street. Everything worked well, excepting the washing machine, we have used the laundry on the Center Street, a few minutes away.
Unfortunately the house was not ready and we had to wait to get in. The hosts were very friendly and gave us usefull information about the region.

  • You know how places always look better in pictures? The complete opposite happened here! Pamela's house is so light and airy and beautifully decorated. We were in awe of how well-appointed it all was, yet we felt right at home at the same time.

It's exactly as close to the best parts of JP as you'd hope. If you have time, check out Blissful Monkey for yoga or JP Licks for ice cream (because you were so smart to go to yoga that you should treat yourself!) Don't leave without stopping at When Pigs Fly for some delicious bread. I have a few loaves sitting in the freezer as I type.

My girlfriends and I have long joked that when we're 85+, we're going to all live in a house together. If Pamela doesn't mind, this is the house we'd like to take over. See ya in forty-eight years Pam! (if not sooner).

  • Pamela was an excellent host- she was very responsive to all emails and communicated easily as we made the arrangements to rent her place. Her house in JP (Boston) is in a very convenient and good location, a few minutes walk from a fantastic pond with a walking trail, and a 5 minute walk in the other direction from a street with excellent cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores (Centre St). Also, it is located such that driving or taking the T into downtown Boston is very easy and quick. Her house is charming, has three stories, with bedrooms on the upper two floors and a spacious downstairs, well functioning wifi and air conditioning, and convenient driveway parking, making the house a very comfortable and functional place to stay. Everything was spotless and well maintained. I'd highly recommend this house to anyone traveling to Boston.
