Welcome to the beautiful city of Hobart and thank you for visiting my place!
The location is great as Hobart city is in walking distance as well is the bus stop. The route will directly bring you into town. The neighbourhood can be considered as a quiet area and there is good off street parking.
I have this lovely 1 bedroom apartment on offer. The separate living room allows you to relax and enjoy some down time. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and a nice dining room both with great views. The furnishings are comfortable and I am not precious about normal wear and tear.
In addition the house boasts:
- Internet and phone included
- Friendly, helpful neighbours!!
- All linen
- Kitchen appliances etc. are all provided.
I am looking for those seeking a stay in Hobart of 1 week minimum and up to 6 months. I am looking forward to welcome you into Hobart!
Each of the apartments is fully self-contained except for the shared laundry on the top level courtyard.
Interaction with Guests
As your host and resident in one of the four apartments I am frequently present on-site. When away I am available by phone or email for enquiries. There is a professional cleaning service for change-overs and additional cleaning is available on request at cost.
The nearby Pigeon Hole Cafe (toward the city in Goulburn Street) is excellent and there is also the nearby Lansdowne Cafe and Paesano Restaurant in Lansdowne Crescent
The Hill Street Grocer is recommended for all food supply and grocery needs. It is a 10 minute walk from the apartments.
There is a closer post office and grocer on the corner of Hill Street and Lansdowne Crescent and a nearby bottle shop and hotel.
The city is a 20 minute walk. The West Hobart bus service is a few minutes walk and bus times should be accessed on (website hidden)
Guests are requested to avoid noisy behaviour although the apartments are all separated by brick walls and have good sound insulation.
Guests should leave the laundry as clean and tidy as they found it (or better).
We were very happy with this apartment. Many new items. Very well-equipped kitchen. Quiet location. Good heating system...fast to warm rooms. Open wood fires were appreciated. We would stay here again. Francis/Bob was attentive and happy to answer any questions.
The apartment was very comfortable and a perfect size for two people. It is very conveniently located about a 15-20 minute walk to the wonderful CBD of Hobart. The views out to the river Derwent were lovely too. Our host, Francis, was very friendly and approachable and quick to help whenever it was needed and did his best to make us feel welcome.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Francis was an extremely welcoming and helpful host. He was always available on his mobile and went out of his way to organise internet connection for us (when the NBN construction had disrupted the internet to the unit).
The unit is in a fantastic location, very handy to Hobart City. There is a spectacular view from the lounge room window.
Francis was a friendly and generous host and I thoroughly enjoyed my time staying in his beautiful apartment. Everything was clean, comfortable and the view from the main window is lovely. I walked into and around Hobart every day and really appreciated the location - an enjoyable walk to everything from Salamanca and Battery Point, shopping on Liverpool St, to the restaurants at North Hobart. I highly recommend Francis as a host and the wonderful accommodation.
I know people have already recommended Pigeon Cafe, just down the road, which I agree with. I'd also like to recommend Small-Fry Cafe on Bathurst St (an extra 5-10 minute walk) which does amazing food and very good coffee.
The unit is spacious, a little 'old' and up-hill and a tad far from anyshop BUT it is 15 min walk the center and perfect if you have a car. Nothing beats the view from the living room (on the bay, especially at night) and the view from the bedroom is on a green garden of the neighbours. The bathroom is wide and quite modern/new. The bedroom is big too with big old comfortable bed. The kitchen is also wide but looks like it is straight from the 60's-70's (like my grandma's 40 years ago) and could use a deep cleaning or refreshment but AGAIN, absolutely nothing to be afraid of. We really had a good time there and really felt like home.
Neighbours (all guys) were very friendly (especially downstairs). It was a real taste of Hobart for quite a very affordable price (at the time we booked). The owner was helpful enough (although we didn't get to meet him not have any questions during our stay).
I would come back again.
