Other things to note
BARBECUING

Barbecuing is allowed at the cabin on the wood deck only. We can provide a rental barbecue including charcoal and utensils for ¥4,000. Please let us know by 3:00 PM the day prior to your arrival if you would like a rental barbecue. If you ask later we may not have time to prepare it. Please be respectful of the neighbors by not making excessive noise when barbecuing at night. We kindly request that you finish barbecuing no later than 8:00 PM.

EARLY CHECK IN / LATE CHECK OUT

Early check in / late check out is sometimes available for a rate of ¥2,000 per hour. Please inquire in advance.

LINENS

Sheets and towels are generally washed using fabric softener with a mild fragrance. If you prefer linens without the use of fabric softener, please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements.

HEATING

For heating the home has kerosene stoves, a wood burning stove, an electric heater and a heated carpet.

Kerosene is unlimited. Just ask if you need the stoves refilled during your stay. When using the kerosene stoves, be sure to allow some fresh air into the home at least once every couple of hours by opening a window.

For the wood burning stove, one complimentary bundle of firewood is provided to guests per night. Each additional bundle is ¥800. Please inform us before check out if you would like to purchase additional firewood. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood, and firewood can be purchased at various home centers in Nagano City.

Other important notes on the wood burning stove:

-Always wear the heat resistant gloves when operating the stove to avoid burns.

-Never burn anything in the stove except for firewood as it could cause a chimney fire.

-When a fire is burning hot, do not open the front window to add firewood as hot embers could accidentally come out. It is safer to open the side door to add additional wood.

-Never allow children to play unattended around the stove when in use.

-Even after a fire has been extinguished, use caution when opening the stove or cleaning out ash as some hot coals may remain.

USE OF THE WOOD BURNING STOVE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY RESULTING FROM ITS USE. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY BURNS OR OTHER DAMAGE TO THE HOME RESULTING FROM IMPROPER USE OF THE WOOD BURNING STOVE. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE USING A WOOD BURNING STOVE, IT IS BETTER NOT TO.

Thank you for your cooperation.
