**My acceptance rates are low on this property because I took a hiatus from hosting in late 2014. Do not let that deter you from booking.** Beautiful condo in a historic early 20th century Atlanta building. Close to everything!
Beautiful condo in a historic early 20th century Atlanta building. Close to everything! You can catch a bus to anywhere in Atlanta. The bus stop is less than a block away at the end of the street. Alternatively, the nearest MARTA train is a beautiful 30 minute walk away through residential neighborhoods. Walk to grocery shopping at Publix, eat at nearby Shake Shack, sip coffee at Starbucks, or grab a book at Barnes & Noble. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Fresh Market are all just a few miles away. Two miles from both Lenox and Phipps malls. (I challenge you to dream up a store that you can't find nearby!) Free wi-fi and plenty of off-street parking. You'll have clean sheets & fresh towels. Keep cool with central air conditioning. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, small stove, full sink, microwave, toaster, blender, dishwasher, etc.
The bedroom features a dreamy full size bed. What it lacks in size against its queenly and kingly siblings it makes up for in comfort. Sink in and sleep deeply! For additional guests over the first 2, or if you don't want to share your comfy bed, I will setup a queen size air mattress with linens in the living room upon request.
The bathroom is fun-size with half the calories! (That means it's small.) There's a great shower available that works wonderfully.
Please note: The condo is on the second floor, up one easy flight of stairs.
Interaction with Guests
I am available in the city during your stay if you have any questions.
The condo is within walking distance to the new Buckhead shopping district modeled after Rodeo Drive, including Shake Shack, the flagship Restoration Hardware store, Georgetown Cupcakes, and more!
All Atlanta public transportation is within walking distance. The area of Buckhead is highly walkable with adequate sidewalks and lighting. The neighborhood is known for being safe.
Please no baths. However, showers are fine. I will provide a dehumidifier to be used during/after a shower. Please turn it on and/or open the window during a shower. (There is no fan and this will prevent mold.) Non-smoking environment. Please, no smoking inside. I am a pet lover, but I do not have pets and do not allow pet visitors at this time. As the building is quite elderly :), I must ask that you respect the other tenants homes with peace and quiet. Visit the condo to relax and unwind in this little oasis from the bustling city. Thank you!
What a wonderful little home. Lou's place was clean and very inviting. We'll definitely try to re-visit when we go back to Atlanta.
Lou's place is amazing!! It's within walking distance of several bars and restaurants, the grocery store and The Atlanta History Center. Buckhead is a safe and pretty area and Lou's apartment was the perfect place for me during my business trip to Atlanta.
Staying at Lou's apartment is exactly the experience one hopes to have when booking a place through AirBnB. The location in Buckhead was centrally located to MARTA and many other things we wanted to see. It is so quiet and peaceful as well as perfectly decorated. We were given toiletries and breakfast foods, but, most special of all, Lou made us homemade bacon cupcakes! I am leaving Atlanta refreshed with plenty of decorating ideas for my own house, and I cannot wait to come back.
Lou was amazing! It was my first time using airbnb and she made it a very pleasant experience. Her condo was felt like home away from home! The neighborhood was very safe and super convenient to everything. Lou even went above and beyond and set out some breakfast foods and beer for me! It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend her place!
Lou's place was the most adorable place I've ever stayed! It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and all around a great experience. And Lou was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. I'll definitely stay there again!
Lou was a wonderful and attentive host! We loved staying in her homey and beautiful apartment. Everything exceeded expectations.
My husband and I stayed in Lou's place while attending a workshop at the Atlanta International School. The location was wonderful and the apartment was super cute! We felt like we'd stepped into a catalog, Lou has styled the place so well. There is a Publix right at the end of the street, so grocery shopping was easy and there were yummy looking restaurants nearby, too, that we could have taken advantage of if we'd felt like going out. The bathroom is a bit tiny, but this is to be expected in an historic building and adds to the character of the place.
I don't want to live without my running shoes, books, fast internet, and my family. I like to travel but I love to be at home, so I know what makes a comfortable and cozy space. I value tidiness and cleanliness in my home and honesty and perseverance in my life.
I started using airbnb because I find hotels to be impersonal and, well, dirty. My hope is that I will provide a seriously relaxing place to stay that feels like home. Traveling is full of surprises, and I want the place you stay to be a pleasant one.
