Welcome to Glamping! This luxury retreat is a camping dream. This heated handcrafted wood and canvas tent is themed in honor of the Oregon prospectors who came here 150 years ago. Our park is next to the North Umpqua River in the Umpqua National Forest. This area of the Oregon Cascades is referred to as "the Emerald-Jewel Gateway" to Crater Lake National Pk. We are centrally located to the North Umpqua Trail, with easy drives to many trailheads, waterfalls & Umpqua Hot Springs. NOT pet friendly

The space
All our cabins and glamping tents are complete with linens, pillows, and bath towels. Please bring a beach towel for the hot springs or river activities.

This is a handcrafted wood frame and canvas tent. The wood was all harvested from our property. The heavy duty canvas is water and fire resistant.

Inside:

Solid wood floors with rugs, handmade dual zone Heated King Bed with luxury linens, period furniture and LED light fittings. Coffee Maker with supplies & a drinking water dispenser. The tent is heated via a propane Blue Flame heater for Glamping in the snowy season! There are USB charging ports as well as AC power for charging electronics.

Outside:

Each of our glamping tents have a park like setting with Picnic Table, fire ring, Charcoal BBQ and are located within steps from the heated park bathhouse. Mens and Womens rooms have two stalls and two showers each with lots of hot mountain spring water available! We recommend filling your water bottles with our sparkling mountain water.

This is not a pet friendly accommodation. We have previously learned that canvas tents and paws or claws don’t mix well. Failure to follow this rule will result in a $100 additional cleaning fee to be paid on arrival.

Guest access
You are renting a private tent with a deck and outside area with fire pit. You will have 24hr access to the bathroom facilities in a separate building, these bathrooms and showers are shared with our other guests in the park. There is a short forest path to a shaded swimming hole with waterfall, perfect to cool off on a hot day. Access to the rivers edge is an easy walk across the road.
We are located directly off Oregon Scenic Byway 138 just across from the North Umpqua River at Milepost 47 just past the Dry Creek Country Store. Upon entering the park, check in at our Park office. Office hours are 9AM to 7PM. Hosts are onsite 24/7. For late check-ins, instructions will be posted on the self check in board at the office.

Other things to note
EV's Welcome! Flo EV Chargers onsite. There are 4 Level 2 J-1772 chargers. To start the chargers you will need either the Flo or Chargepoint apps on your phone and connect to our Wi-Fi. If you have a Flo RFID card Wi-Fi is not needed.
Although our address is Idleyld Park, we are 27 miles east in the quaint community of Dry Creek deep within the Umpqua National Forest.
We are REMOTE. There is no cell service here within 12 miles of us. We have Wi-Fi available for $2.99.
This is a wilderness area within the National Forest so please be prepared!

The scenic route Highway 138 serves as the primary access to Crater Lake National Park, North Umpqua River, 74-mile North Umpqua Trail intersecting the Pacific Crest Trail, and Game Hunting. Visitors from all over the world travel through Umpqua National Forest to enjoy these and more outdoor recreation and sporting destination activities. The Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway has received both national and regional recognition for its exceptional scenic quality and accessibility to a myriad of recreational and interpretive opportunities including high concentration of native steel head, Salmon and fishery stock.

This truly distinctive canyon landscape is characterized by the combination of clear jade-green rushing water, vertical rock cliffs and spires within a mosaic of mountain meadows and Douglas-fir/western hemlock forests. Adding to the natural scenic quality of the North Umpqua Wild and Scenic Corridor, are the locations of numerous prominent geologic features of columnar basalt, large basalt rock cliffs, boulders and spires which are currently managed as the Umpqua Rocks Special Geologic Area. Few river systems in the region expose as much of the volcanic and geologic history of the formation of the Cascades in one nearly straight, east-west direction. Be sure to check out the Natural Hot-springs and a choice of local waterfalls, including Southern Oregon’s tallest, Watson Falls along with the ever popular Toketee Falls, Fall Creek Falls, Steamboat Falls, and Lemolo Falls.
