Heradsskolinn is located in the heart of the Golden Circle nature paradise. The newly renovated historical building was formerly one of Iceland´s main schools but has now been reinvented as a charming guesthouse with private rooms with and without bathrooms and dorms.
You'll love my place for the peaceful and calm atmosphere and the good food :)

The space
We are located in one of Iceland's most historical buildings. There is a good spirit in the building and the area, and we want to share it with the rest of the world.
You room comes with two single size bed.

We do have a kitchenette on site for our guests to use between 8 am and 10 pm. We do have an electric kettle and microwave.

Laugarvatn, 2A932C, Iceland

We are located in the center of the Golden circle. There are geothermal baths only 300 meters from the building (The Fontana) and the nature is just amazing. Þingvellir national park, Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall are all within a 30 min drive.
We recommend a stop for a ice cream at Efsti Dalur II Dairy Farm. The Secret Lagoon in Flúdir is a unique place to see! Lunch at Fridheimar is amazing, the best tomato soup you can find!
Háifoss, Hjálparfoss and Gjáin (famous for a scene from Game of Thrones) is as well about 1 hour drive from our property.

Heradsskolinn Guesthouse at Laugarvatn. Located in the heart of the Golden Circle nature paradise there are so many things to see and do in the area. Hiking, horse riding, bathing in geothermal pools, glacier and volcano exploring, you name it! Then, of course, there is the Golden Circle consisting of Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss (the spectacular waterfall) and last but not least Geysir, the spewing geothermal wonder.
