Emily was a very welcoming host who did everything to make feel us like at home. She makes delicious breakfasts with local products, which we enjoyed a lot. We had nice discussions about our common passion (bread making) and exchanged recipes.
The room is exactly as described, and full of light and sun. We shared the bathroom with another room. Everything was very clean and tidy.
We hope we can come back with some friends this spring. Thanks again Emily!
This was our second visit to Emily's beautiful home in Mt. Holly. Better than the first time. Like coming home to an old friend. The deck out back of the house looks out onto fields and mountains. Up close are humming birds and pet chipmunks (Shorty and friends). Pet chickadee will eat from our hand. Breakfasts are always with Emily and other guests. Incredible muffins and other baked wonders. Fresh Vermont eggs. Milk from the farmer down the road. She has a fabulous garden full of vegetables and flowers. Don't miss the stars at night.
This was our most exciting stay through airbnb.
We were visiting Vermont to experience fall foliage and had a great time.
Emily is one of the most awesome people you'd ever meet. Even before we entered the house, we had already initiated conversation through email, talking about ourselves and on the foliage predictions. When we entered the house, we didn't feel like outsiders at all. By the time we left, we felt part of her family.
The house itself is really clean, well-maintained with an amazing view and serene backwoods. She also serves breakfast which was great as all the ingredients were local and fresh. We mingled with other guests and had a great time sharing stories.
The location of the house is also very nice if you are looking for a bit of solitude. Plus it provides easy access to the by-roads of central Vermont to experience the fall foliage.
I'd recommend Emily's B&B to anyone looking for an authentic Vermont experience, a gracious host, peace and tranquility during your stay, a million dollar view, and a comfortable stay overall.
We'd definitely be back.
