The space
Moved to its current location August 8th, 2019, this well maintained cabin dates back to the 1930s.

This cozy single room cabin features snowshoe rocking chairs next to an old time radio. Wood paneling and and open ceiling make this place feel right at home in the northwoods among the evergreens.

The Gordon firetower is a 100-foot Aermotor, likely an MC-39 model. Originally built in August 1935. Gordon features a US Forest Service-style stairway. It overlooks the St Croix watershed and offers the most scenic view of ALL Wisconsin firetowers.

Where you’ll be

Gordon, Wisconsin, United States

Overlooking the St. Croix River, a special area of the state. Its abundant streams, lakes and wetlands, rich forests and farmlands, wildlife and fisheries make this a popular recreational destination and location for living. The River begins in Upper St. Croix and Namekagon Lake and drains through diverse ecological landscapes.

The landscape of the St. Croix River contains large swaths of unspoiled ecosystems and is in need of protection. Among its rolling barrens and brushlands are a plethora of wildlife, including threatened populations of sharp-tailed grouse and endangered Karner blue butterflies. The pineries of this region thrive and sustain communities with seasonal economic boosts from visitors who come for an array of outdoor activities.
