Charming quiet bungalow in historic West Salem near School of the Arts, Old Salem, and downtown Winston-Salem. Close to the Winston-Salem Dash ball park and just east of the Wake Forest Medical Center. Let this newly remodeled home be your headquarters whether in town for business or pleasure. 2 large bedrooms, spacious kitchen (O & R, refrigerator, MW, and DW), living room and dining room combination, nice front porch and a rear deck. Host recommendation and government issued ID required.

The space
This private home is located in the quaint, historic West Salem neighborhood. It is colorfully decorated with an artists touch. From the covered front porch, you will walk into the spacious living room and dining area. The kitchen includes all new appliances, refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a portable island that is great for extra counter space and cooking. A Keurig Coffee maker with a variety of Keurig cups are provided. Also provided is a drip coffee maker for ground coffee (which is provided) and a whole bean grinder. Continental breakfast choices are provided. Muffins from our local bakery can be arranged!
The master bedroom includes a new king size bed, television, and closet. The second bedroom includes two new twin beds, and also has a closet. We provide 100% Egyptian cotton sheets for every bed. The TVs include a digital antenna which provide local channels. There is a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer and a door that may be closed to minimize noise.
There is a new patio/deck in the private, fenced in back yard for dining alfresco or just relaxing. The private driveway can fit up to three cars and there is free parking on the street.

Granville Park is within walking distance for playing tennis, a playground for the kids, and shaded walking trails.

Downtown Winston Salem is a thriving destination with many restaurants, micro breweries, unique shops, art galleries, and entertainment venues. There are several events to attend at the Stevens Center, Milton Rhodes Center of the Arts, and a/perture cinama. Bookmark's Book Store is a must do for all book enthusiasts!
Fine southern dining abounds! From steak houses to oyster bars, traditional southern fare as you will find at Sweet Potatoes Restaurant, to vegan and ethnic, the culinary choices are amazing! Sixth & Vine, Bull's Tavern, and many others offer a live music venue. A visit to Historical Old Salem, and Black Mountain Chocolate Factory, makes a wonderful day trip! The Cobblestones Farmers Market is held on Saturdays from May-Nov. at nearby historic Old Salem offering organic vegetables, music, coffee, pastries & breads and more. The UNC-School of the Arts is a mile-plus ride away with amazing performances available to the public throughout the school year. Walkers and bicycling enthusiasts will enjoy using the Salem Greenway trail located in this neighborhood.

Pilot Mountain State Park is a 25 minute drive with spectacular views of the NC mountain ranges.
Mt. Airy, NC, also known as the fictional town of “Mayberry” in the Andy Griffith Show, is only another 15 minutes from Pilot Mountain, NC. A visit to this charming walkable town brings back “Mayberry memories” with Floyd’s Barbershop and Snappy Lunch & their infamous pork chop sandwich!

For our medical professionals, Baptist Hospital is less than 10 minutes away. Forsyth Hospital is a 14 minute drive.
