Located on the western edge of Victor, our mountain home is a scenic and quiet haven. To the southwest stands the Sangre de Christo mountain range and directly west the majestic Collegiate Peaks. The vista reminds us daily that “we get to live here.” On a clear night, skies of stars await you. Make sure you can climb the stairs for a good night’s rest. We welcome you to our home. May you find yourself comfortable, relaxed and refreshed.

The space
Once parked in the driveway, your private entrance includes 2 private floors for your stay. Entering through the mud room, a living room and full kitchen becomes the first floor. The living room has a monitor for viewing DVDs and WIFI for internet or gaming access. Wooden board games are also available for challenge and fun. The kitchen includes tableware and accessories for your cooking pleasure. The second floor has two bedrooms; one bedroom with two twin beds and the master bedroom with a queen size bed. Between the doors of the bedrooms you will find a bathroom/shower. Sleeping arrangements are limited to a maximum of four patrons.
A custom patio with chairs and a breath taking view await your enjoyment and camera. As well, find history as you step back in time with outstanding District museums. Hiking trails abound throughout the mining District, along with biking, fishing, and summer Gold Mine tours. We are just 4 miles from Cripple Creek’s casinos. Victor’s Lowell Thomas Museum and Cripple Creek’s Franklin Ferguson Library have good collections of newspaper microfilms, District Directories, and old school records for researching genealogy and historical facts.

Victor has designation as a National Historic District. The 'wild card' of Teller County, Victor is a step back in time with 1890's mine structures, buildings and stories to tell of yesteryear. Unique shops and shopkeepers, restaurants, museums, current day mining, and Colorado blue skies await your discovery and enjoyment! Victor is about 50 minutes from Colorado Springs, central to the Gold Belt Scenic Byway, and just down the hill from the Gold Camp Road.

Mountain Vistas ! has been our home now for 41 years! We marvel at the gift of "getting to live here!" Everyday changes views of landscapes and skyscapes with a Colorado Blue Sky that is breathtaking. We invite you to share in this! Our home is above Victor's Sunnyside Cemetery and we overlook that sacred museum of artwork, names and monuments. Volunteering for the last 20 years through maintenance, research and tours; the site has become a step back into time, cultures and stories of the heart. The Lowell Thomas Museum supports the ongoing tours and has encouraged me to publish my research; all to come with the gift of time. My husband, Kirk, is a rare woodsman. He sculpts and carves aspen and bristle cone pine that are found on the higher slopes below Pikes Peak. A favorite past time is hiking and finding those pieces of wood that lead to his discovery of what lies within the source. Furniture and exquisite one-of-a-kind burl bowls become functional art pieces; while his sense of whimsical characters are found in rare pieces of twisted shapes of wood. We welcome your interest and stay! Happy Trails!
