The Jack/Jill is perfect for Mom, Dad and two kids. Please indicate the ages of your kids as we are not child proofed for under the age of 5. Pricing for Jack and Jill Examples:
Weekend $95 per night up to 4 people.
Note: The price listed is for use of the two bedrooms together. If you don't need both bedrooms, you can inquire as to a price for one of the two rooms only.
Have the upstairs to yourself or share with your family and friends. We have 2 rooms (Jack and Jill) that share a full bathroom, each with their own vanity and sink. One room has a double bed with a tv and one room has a queen bed.
If you would like more privacy, check out the bedroom with the bathroom inside the bedroom.
If you book the Jack (Queen size bed) or Jill (double bed), I will never put someone that is not traveling together for privacy reasons.
Home is located in a newer family neighborhood. It is convenient to I-485 and Hwy 51.
We have two kids, but they both live on the West Coast. The upstairs is pretty much available, I have a sewing business upstairs but it is at the top of the stairs and away from the other bedrooms.
We have one small dog (17#). She never met a stranger and once she greets you, she leaves you alone.
Our home is an easy drive to the Charlotte Motor Speedway (22 mi.) a straight shot on 485.
We are also about a 30 minute drive to downtown Charlotte and 30 minutes to airport.
Guests also have access to a comfortable sitting room with a sofa, chair, small fridge, coffee maker, microwave and a big screen TV with cable and DVR.
I don't have a picture of this in my listing.
We love to hear your stories and we love to share any thing about the Charlotte area to make your stay enjoyable. If you are quiet and just need a place to lay your head at night, we can go with the flow!
Our neighborhood is very quiet and safe! We have sidewalks that connect two neighborhoods. If you enjoy walking or running, you will have some great scenery to look at. You might also see some horses out to pasture.
We are on the outskirts of Charlotte and so public transit is not an option from where we live. However, you can drive a few miles to a public parking lot to get to get around.
Guests will have their own Bonus room with a Big Screen TV with access to cable channels and wi-fi. There is also a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, fridge stocked with water and some snacks.
Interaction with Guests
Interaction is different with each guest. We respect peoples time and since we both work out of our home, we try to keep regular business hours.
I love that there are sidewalks and that it is quiet, but convenient to so many different areas.
Public transportation is available but not real convenient. You would have to drive about 2 miles and Park and Ride.
We are pretty laid back and don't sweat the small stuff!
We appreciate you taking off your shoes when you go upstairs.
If you wear perfume or cologne, I have to ask you to put it on outside. Perfumes will trigger headaches and make me miserable.
We have a very well behaved old dog once she meets you, she will leave you alone. I would advise leaving your doors shut as she can sniff out food anywhere.
Lisa and Dan made us feel extremely welcome. They are super friendly and didn't mind talking to us about Charlotte as we are thinking about moving there. The house was amazing and the backyard too. We had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet but still had easy access to major highways. We would definitely stay here again, we almost didn't want to leave. Thank you Lisa & Dan!
Our stay with Lisa & Dan was perfect. My wife and I were traveling with two of our adult children and the Jack and Jill setup was just what we needed. From the moment we requested a reservation, we were made to feel welcome. All of our email correspondence was answered immediately and they made sure that we had everything we needed upon our arrival. Lisa even asked what we liked to eat and made us a delicious breakfast each morning of our stay. Lisa and Dan's home is immaculate, comfortable and quiet. As hosts, they are low key, easy going and really make you feel that you have a home away from home when you stay with them. If we are ever in the Charlotte area again, we will certainly stay with Lisa and Dan.
After almost a full day of flying my wife was welcomed to a lovely home by Lisa and Dan. Lisa was extremely quick to respond to all requests, flexible with our schedule and provided a very positive AirBnB experience. We would not hesitate to stay with Lisa and Dan again.
Dan and Lisa are wonderful hosts who live in a lovely neighborhood in a stunningly beautiful home! They were kind enough to put lodging together for two extra people for our little group at the last minute. This was our second 'annual' visit to Scarowinds and we were laughing today remembering LAST year when we overslept at our hotel and woke to cleaning ladies BANGING ON THE DOOR! Not this year though! Slept like babies and awoke to fresh coffee and banana bread served by our lovely hostess! This will DEFINITELY be our goto place in Charlotte from now on!
Hosts were very gracious about my late arrivals and sensitive to my needs concerning my mother. Couldn't have been more easy-going.
Lisa and Dan were kind and gracious hosts. They truly opened their home to us and made us feel welcome. The beds were very comfortable, super clean bathrooms, and everything in the house was pristine! Lisa gave us great recommendations to see the best of Charlotte and the snacks in the room were A+. We would absolutely stay with them again!
My husband, 15-year-old daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Lisa and Dan's home. The Mint Hill neighborhood is quiet and easily accessible to downtown Charlotte, the house was clean and comfortable, and Lisa was such a thoughtful hostess. In addition to our private bedrooms, we had a private TV room with snacks, which our daughter loved!

My name is Lisa and I am married to Dan. We became empty nesters with a big empty house. Since our kids both live in California, we found becoming hosts for airbnb to be very rewarding in many ways.
It has also allowed us to take some great vacations too. We were able to celebrate our 30th anniversary by going to New Zealand.
We enjoy recreational biking and walking in our spare time.
