We live in East West Asheville, I know funny right? East West Asheville is on the Downtown side of West Asheville, which we love. We are within walking distance of fun coffee shops, restaurants, breweries, music halls and more.
If you need transportation there is a bus stop about 4/10 of a mile up the street. People love to bring their bikes and get around (downtown is up a large hill, but is only 1.2 miles away)

Parking for up to one car at the end of the house.

Monroe was a great host, gave us a quick lay of the land and a good late food/bar recommendation upon arrival. The garage is very cool and unique. Easy drive to both Asheville and West Asheville. Would visit again.
Monroe was a great host! He gave great recommendations that trumped my extensive online Yelp/Tripadvisor research - his website was very helpful. The "garagement" is AWESOME. Looks even better in real life - a very cool converted space. It was a perfect place to rest and relax after a long day of eating and exploring. The neighborhood is very charming, and an easy 10 minute stroll to the main strip on Haywood with tons of restaurants/ bars/ shops. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Monroe's place was artsy and a unique dwelling. Monroe was welcoming and very helpful. He recommended some great places to eat. I would recommend this airbnb for 2 people. The queen bed was super comfy but the sofa pullout bed, not so much (more suitable for kids). The parking, TV, and wifi were superb and the location was great.
I would recommend Monroe's place to anyone looking for a great stay and attentive host in Asheville.
Our experience was overall wonderful and our host, Monroe was great. The space we stayed in was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The house was in a great part of town, close to downtown, west end, and the art district. The house was close enough to drive or walk to any part of the city. The curated website was extremely helpful and it allowed us to explore Asheville through more native Ashevillian eyes. Through it we were able to find tons of great places to eat and drink as well as some of the best hiking spot. Overall, great experience and we would definitely stay again the next time we are in Asheville.
We had a wonderful time staying in this eclectic garage suite. It was great having access to a kitchen, laundry, and bathroom in our own space that was close to everything the town had to offer. Also, BEST coffee at any place you'll stay anywhere. Thanks Monroe for the great place!
The description was spot on. Easy access to town and a clean, quiet, fun place to stay. We will be staying here again next time we are in town. Owners were super easy to work with and we ever felt like we were putting anyone out of their own home. The place completely felt like our own.
No complaints. Monroe allowed us privacy and the apartment was perfectly stocked and centrally located
