If you need transportation there is a bus stop about 4/10 of a mile up the street. People love to bring their bikes and get around (downtown is up a large hill, but is only 1.2 miles away)

We just stayed one quick night while in town for business. Cute place in a great neighborhood. Monroe was a great host and kind of reminded me of Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. I would definitely recommend staying there to anybody using AirBnB in Asheville.
Great place to stay and Monroe was very welcoming. Ideal for visiting Asheville and surrounding areas.
Monroe was a very welcoming host! He met us at the garage apartment in a timely manor. He was very easily available to us through text but also gave us respectable space. The apartment was exactly as photographed! Clean and delightfully decorated. The neighborhood was safe and enjoyable, located just a short drive from any downtown areas we traveled to. I would definitely stay here again!
This was a wonderful first Air b&b experience. Monroe was kind and welcoming, and provided a clean and lovely space, just as the listing showed. This listing is close to everything we wanted to do in Asheville and made us feel like locals. We'd go back in a heartbeat!
What a pleasant experience! First time with Airbnb and will always remember it. Perfect location for trips to West Asheville as well as downtown.Monroe was a wonderful host - met us as we arrived, showed us around and got us settled, then let us know if we needed him just text. Thank you Monroe!
Our stay in Asheville was great. The apartment was well appointed and Monroe was very helpful. We took several of his hiking and brewery recommendations and had a great time. Would absolutely return to stay here. One note is that there are people typically (I would assume) staying above you in a second apartment and they can be noisy. It wasn't a problem for us, but it is something to be aware of.
Great location, walking distance to river arts district, super quick drive to downtown. We loved the thoughtful design and interior decor of the garage apartment. This space has plenty of room for 2 people, is well appointed w all necessary kitchen items, and is plenty cozy (not at all drafty and the wall space heater works well if you need it!) The only recommendation I'd make is to replace the mattress /box springs/Even with one of us moving to the sofa, it was still a bit uncomfortable and noisy. With that upgrade, this would be my accommodation of choice for my Asheville trips. Having a washer/dryer access was also a great bonus, and Monroe was easy to communicate with.
