Monroe was a great host. The place was very clean and in order and he provided us with a great list of things to do in Asheville.
Booked the day of, just a few hours beforehand for a last-minute place to spend the night. Confirmation and booking was a breeze, quick and polite.
The place is nice, just as in the pics. Comfortable bed, fold-out couch, plenty of space for three. The location is great; an easy 5 minute drive from downtown, walked 10 minutes to get to WALK (recommended!), nice quiet neighborhood.
A great experience overall, highly rec'd. Thanks Monroe!
In a world of cheap, generic, and vanilla, this house stands apart. Full of color, tasteful decorating, and comfortable details, the "garagement" could not be any better. Amazing location, super comfortable bed, and darling.
Staying at the garagement was absolutely wonderful. Monroe was very hospitable and helpful (even though we never crossed paths!).
Having a bike was definitely useful, as we were within biking distance of everywhere we wanted to go, as parking downtown would have been a bit of a pain.
Monroe's garage apartment was a perfect place to stay in West Asheville. Walking distance to great restaurants and watering holes; and a short drive or uber to DT Asheville. Check in was easy, space was very roomy, comfortable, and well appointed. A wonderful value. Hope to stay again, when in WA, which has a very cool vibe of it's own.
My friends and I loved staying in Monroe's garagement! The space itself is tidy, large enough for the four of us, and as advertised via pictures and description. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and wooded but less than a 10 minute walk to great bars and restaurants, and less than a 10 minute drive from downtown Asheville. The check in and check out processes were painless--it's a small thing, but the garage doors made bringing our bags in and out super easy. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in town!
The place was really great! Convenient location and Monroe gave us a few awesome recommendations on places to see in the city. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again!
Monroe was there to meet us upon our arrival. The space was WONDERFUL! Very neat, clean and attractive. We were provided with little "extras" like coffee, creamer, etc. The neighborhood was delightful, up on a hill nestled among the trees and the wonderful shrubs, bushes and herbs that Monroe has growing around the deck. Quiet neighborhood close to many things. I will definitely be back to this one and my yoga friends and I are thrilled with this find.
