Our stay at Monroe's was spectacular! There was nothing better than having a great cozy place to come home to after a day of exploring Asheville. Everything in the apartment worked great and was very clean. Monroe Suggested many great places to eat, drink, and visit. We checked out a lot of his recommendations, all of which were great finds!
The garage apartment is fantastic. Has everything you need for a great stay in Asheville - clean and cozy, very comfortable bed, fresh eggs, soft towels, close to everything. Monroe is an excellent host. Friendly and available if you need him but if not you wouldn't even know he and his family are there. Definitely check out the recommendations on his website for places to eat and visit while in Asheville. We will stay here again and recommend this property to anyone visiting Asheville!
This is the fourth time we have rented Monroe's Air BnB for my mother in law. As always, the space was clean and extremely comfortable for her. Monroe is also a talented painter, and his work is beautifully displayed in the upstairs artist's loft. The upstairs loft was not available for the entire time that my mother in law was visiting, so Monroe let her move into the lower apartment for the last night of her stay, which was very accommodating. We live in a teeny house in West Asheville, and knowing that our friends and relatives have a comfortable place to stay when they visit us is such a plus!
I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this location for my first trip to Asheville. It was in walking distance of some tasty dining options and a short drive from downtown Asheville. Monroe was very communicative and flexible as our arrival time was delayed. He offered comfy accommodations and suggestions for "To Dos" around Asheville. The garage-turned-apartment is a creative and welcoming use of space. Overall, we had a great experience!
Great host, very responsive, and a great place to stay.
Our first Airbnb!! A great stay at the garagment, It was such a cozy and warm space on our rainy trip to Ashe ville. Monroe was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed! There was although, someone living above the space, and woke us up a few times in the middle of the night. Right down the road to the Appalachian School of Holistic Herbalism which I would have loved to stop in!
We loved our stay!!
A&V aus Frankfurt
Being our first airbnb experience, we were more than pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and warm greetings from Monroe. We were given recommendations for local food spots in downtown and West Asheville and also found a swing top bottle of water, coffee and cream waiting for us in the refrigerator. It was as advertised a great location to explore Asheville and was impeccably clean. All in all, I don't think we will find another bnb comparable and we can't wait to return!
Monroe was very prompt to answer my questions and really helped us out in very short notice. He was there ready to show us around when we arrived. The space was perfect for me and 3 of my friends. The kitchen was stocked with necessary dishes and cookware to make our meals as well as tea and coffee. The shower and laundry machines were an added bonus. The place was very well designed and felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend this place especially since it was very close to downtown Asheville and sites in West Asheville.
