My home is within 5 minutes walk of The Ridgeway which is over 5,000 years old. I provide free range chickens from exceedingly happy chickens that roam the grounds. I have a log burner, conservatory to enjoy the sunshine and have plenty of parking.
Becky and I had a lovely time in this quaint little cottage at the edge of Swindon. Clare and her dog Humphrey we fab hosts! We are sure to be back.
What a lovely host Clare is. She gave us a warm welcome as did Humphrey. Despite being incapacitated, Clare insisted on cooking us eggs for breakfast from the hens out the back. Her suggestion to try the Royal Oak for dinner was spot on and we ate there each of the three nights of our stay. Clare told us about great places to visit and clear instructions on how to get to them.
If you are after a quiet, comfortable place to rest after completing some invigorating walks or visiting some superb villages, this is a great place to consider.
Thanks Clare. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!
Peace and quiet place, ideal for a week end in the countryside.
I recommend this place.
I had a fantastic stay at Clare's lovely cottage. It's the perfect escape for a relaxing weekend, and Clare is a fabulous host. She is warm and inviting, as is her home, and her dog Humphrey is quite a character. I had a great night's sleep, a lovely home-cooked breakfast, and some lovely walks around the area which Clare even showed me herself. I really enjoyed staying with Clare; thank you.
Me and my boyfriend had a really lovely weekend at Clare's. She kindly picked us up from the station in Swindon, and welcomed us into her home. Really lovely house with everything you need, with lovely walks nearby. Clare was the perfect hostess and made us some great breakfast! She also has a dog called Humphrey who is adorable. Thoroughly recommend staying here if you fancy a weekend away. Thanks Clare!
Clare was very welcoming, a great host and her cottage is lovely. The perfect place for a break to the country. Humphrey, Clare's dog, was also very pleased to see us and enjoyed the walk we all took with our own dog. Our short stay was made complete by a tasty breakfast including homemade potato cakes. Thank you.
Clare was warm and welcoming, literally going the extra mile to meet us when we got lost nearby. The house was as described and set in an absolutely lovely area. We drove up to White Horse Hill...well worth it.
