My colourful apartment is located just between the gorgeous Main Market Square and the heart of Jewish district Kazimerz (it's just a 5 minute walk to get to each).
Dear Guest, are you looking for a great place to stay in the center of Kraków?
Have a look at my colorful place located just between the gorgeous Main Market Square and the heart of Jewish district Kazimerz (it's just a 5 minute walk to get to each of these beautiful areas).
About the apartment:
Since I offer my house I assure you that you will find in it everything you might need: free high speed Internet connection (up to 20 Mb/s); washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdyer; bed covers and towels; well equipped kitchen with induction hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge; small sound system and a selection of books in English in the living room.
You can sleep comfortably in a normal size bed with really excellent mattress. We also have a sofa which can accommodate an extra two people. There are shades below windows that block out sunlight (and neighbor's eyes) that cover as much as 180cm/75% height of the window, so no one can see you but some light will always come through.
On the table you will find a welcome letter with some useful information about the apartment and its appliances and, more importantly, password to Internet access. In addition, I always prepare a map and some brochures for my Guests so that you can easily find your way in our beautiful city.
Interaction with Guests
I'm always here for you!
During your stay me and my fiancée, we are always at your disposal. If you need any help or advice don't hesitate to contact us - you can always contact us via airbnb or just text or call us. We are happy to stay in touch with you and to make sure that your stay is enjoyable and comfortable.
Tours & Tickets:
If you need any assistance in organising tickets for cultural events or trips jus let us know; we can prepare tickets for Auschwitz / Wieliczka Salt Mine tours (and more) with pick up from Wielopole street and will happily help in organising all other attractions during your stay.
You are in the very of the city:
There are a lot of great restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby and famous Hala Targowa sausage which you can get even at 3 am in the morning :) If you are looking for a nice place to eat out or want to experience Cracow's nighlife you can't get any closer to the most interesting places. Both areas - Main Market Square and The Old Jewish district of Kazimierz offer lots of great places to try out. For more details you can check my guidebook or ask about my recommendations when we meet in Cracow.
Close to my apartment you may find lots of small grocery stores and a market with fresh fruit and veggies. If you feel like a bigger shopping or need anything more specific there are 2 big shopping malls in the area. For souvenirs and presents - just take a walk around the Main Market Square or the small and pictoresque streets of Kazimierz.
The neighbourhood is very safe, even late at night. There is a CCTV in front of the building and inside just so that you can feel somewhat more secure.
Finding your way around Cracow:
Since my apartment is located in the very centre of the city you don't have to use any trams or buses - you can easily walk to most places worth visiting. If, however, you need to go any further it is really easy to use trams in Cracow, you can buy tickets inside trams/on tram stops in ticket machines which also operate in English - to buy tickets you just need to have some coins. Taxis are quite cheap and easy to find so this also is a good option.
Other Things to Note
There is a secure 24h parking place located 2min from the apartment. It costs 50 zł for 24hrs (around 12 eur). There are around 10 parking spots just in front of my building. You can leave your car also there, it costs around 4PLN per hour on weekdays and it's free on weekends.
ATM & Exchange:
You can find an ATM in the building and three exchange offices on the street.
I am quite flexible about check in and check out times, however during high summer season if I have overlapping bookings then the "hotel day" starts at 2 pm on the day of arrival and lasts till 11 am on the day of departure. Otherwise, if the apartment is available, I am happy to adjust to your arrival/departure times.
Fantastic host and location! We were only there for a single night, but it was perfect.
The apartment was exactly as described and pictured, and the location is superb for visiting old town/rynek and Kazimierz. I found Tomasz to be a perfect communicator and a helpful host.
Our experience with Tomek and his apartment were fantastic from start to end. We were slightly late checking in and didn't arrive until 10.30pm and Tomek did not rush us at all and still pointed out all his recommendations before leaving. Tomek also left us with some bottled water and chocolate which was a great gift after being on the train all day!
Tomek organised the Auschwitz and Wieliczka salt mine tours for us so when we arrived Tomek had already got the tickets sorted for us. The apartment itself has everything you could need. It was brand new and kept very clean, simply faultless.
Before we left Tomek even booked our taxi for us and one night of our stay we experienced storms and Tomek even checked up on us the next day. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would definitely stay again!!
big thanks for all your support and secret hints, tomek! we had a great stay, the apartment is perfect - we would come back for sure!
Our second round ... good central location within walking distance to all interesting places. Make sure you'll go and grab some street food from 'blue nysa' at night. We'll be back ...
Tomasz started communicating with us early and was very available during our stay. We weren't able to meet him in person, but his dad let us into the apartment. Check-in and check-out were both very straightforward. The apartment was clean and pretty much what we expected. And the location of the apartment was perfect - very central to all of Krakow.
About the Host, Tomasz
I'm a designer from Kraków. I love simple and usable things like my bicycle. When I'm not working on my startup projects I'm travelling because meeting interesting people is one of the best things you can do. Now all those people visit me thanks to Airbnb :)
