Ideally located in medina, in the district of mouassine, maybe the best district of the medina because close to souks, the place Jemaa el Fna and to the new city (gueliz). The house has 2 rooms with A/C and private bathroom.
A charming small house renovated in 2009 located in a very quiet and sure alley.
The house has a large lounge with kitchen, 2 rooms with A/C / heating with private bathrooms, and a roof terrace. The first room is on the ground floor and the second one on the roof terrace.
The kitchen is completely equipped and the lounge is also air-conditioned. The WIFI is of course available (and free).
House linen is provided.
The house is located at 5 minutes walk from Bab Laksour, the closest door of the medina and 5 minutes from place Jemmaa el Fna.
You can find a lot of shops, grocer's shops ....
I can organize your transfer from and to the aiport (15 euros/ 1 way).
It is also possible to park a vehicle at Bab Laksour.
Other Things to Note
As I'm not living in Marrakesh all year long, Aimad and Yassine will welcome you in my house and will give you all information you need so that you have an excellent stay. You can contact them if you need during your stay. You can also have on request a cleaning lady who can also cook special moroccan dishes for you.
The house is always rented entire (I mean you will not have have to share the house with other guest even if you rent my house just for one or two people.)
We had a lovely weekend at this house - great location and perfect for 2 couples who want to relax and take forays into the Medina. We ate breakfasts on the roof garden in the sun and slept well in the quiet neighbourhood. Highly recommended.
The apartment was amazing, and we felt like home from the first moment. We stay in a very clean and quiet quarter. Located in the heart of the medina and a few minutes away from the souks and the Médersa Ben-Youssef.
Ben was a perfect Hosts. We were picked up from the airport and accompanied to the apartment.
During our stay there was nothing missing.
Many thanks to Ben,Aimad, Yassine .
To be honest I don't want to recommend it, as it might be taken or much more expensive next time I like to visit Marrakech.
Seriously - great place in a quiet corner of Medina with helpful hosts.
Ben arranged for us to be collected at the airport so someone was there waiting when we arrived. This was fine however we got to a street in the town and then just parked up ad waited for 10 minutes! We were getting a bit nervous as we could not communicate with the driver (language). In the end we were waiting for Yassin to come and show us to the place but it would have been nice to know that! The accommodation was really nice though. A great cheap place to stay with kitchen and terrace and two bedrooms. We had Yassin's number in case of problems. At first it feels like you'll never find your way back through the windy medina but you do!
We had a great time in the beautiful apartment.
Ben was very helpful before we arrived and answered all of our questions quickly. He also arranged a taxi from the airport and for his friend to meet us at the other end to help us settle in.
The apartment was amazing, great location, very comfortable and exactly as shown in the pictures. We would recommend it highly and hope to be able to return one day.
Our stay at the house was amazing. Ben arranged for us to be collected from the airport and his host then guided us to the house. The house was clean, spacious and in a great location. Close enough to the square but tucked away from the madness. I would highly recommend staying at this property!
The house is very true to the pictures and tastefully decorated. The living room with open kitchen is spacious. The double beds in the bedrooms are rather small. Both bedrooms have attached toilets and showers, but the downstairs bedroom has an open shower, which means that there is no privacy when showering. Also, the toilet is in a small and dark ‘room’. The upstairs bathroom is rather big and it has two sinks, which is a luxury. There is also a toilet on the living room-level of the house, which is convenient. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are a few spices, teas etc that seem to be leftovers from previous guests. There was shower gel in all there bathrooms, but no soap for the hands. There are air conditioners in both bedrooms and in the living room. The terrace on the top level of the house is big and lovely, when the weather is nice. From the terrace you can see the top of the Koutoubia mosque.
The house itself is situated in an outer part of the medina, so the area is cleaner than the area just around Jemaa El Fna, but you have to navigate through many turns in small roads, which can be confusing and at times feel a bit unsafe in the dark. However, I think this is the case in most parts of the medina.
Be aware that the house has three levels, and thus is not suitable for people who have difficulties walking/climbing stairs.
