We had a wonderful time is Elissa's cowshed. We work in Hung Hom and during the weekend we would like to enjoy some quiet time away from the regular busy city life. Elissa's cozy cowshed gave us such a lovely weekend. We enjoyed staying there and Sally, the helper, was very helpful with wonderful service.
We enjoyed Mui Wo, the quiet country area, and the lovely time in the Cowshed. It was also convenient to go to Ngong Ping, which is an impressive and lovely tourist spot!
Thank you, Elissa, Morgan, and Sally!!
We had a lovely peaceful and relaxing time at the restored cow shed. It gave us a completely different view of Hong Kong! Elissa and Morgan were so helpful with everything. Highly recommended and hope we have a chance to stay again some time!
Felt super welcome: hosts were very communicative the whole time and went above and beyond the call of duty.
Super clean and new furnishings. Stylish. Hot shower, comfy bed. Weekly cleaning by the ever awesome Sally.
Bedroom has a highly amusing book collection.
Great recycling policies in the area.
What else? Just all around awesome and easy experience. I was a long guest and had no issues the whole time: I'd highly suggest to visitors to Lantau and the area.
it's nice and cosy, the surrounding is great, absolute privacy! Thumbs up! And Morgan and Sally have been very helpful as well~ definately come back again.
My fiancé and I had a really lovely time out in Mui Wo thanks to this great place. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Elissa was more than welcoming and we felt right at home. The location is ideal for getting away from the busy city feel and right into nature which is not so easy to find in Hong Kong. There were many options for hikes, beaches, and very good restaurants in Lantau. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience a different side to Hong Kong and breathe in some fresh air!
The location is almost in the end of village, I love to walk along the surrounding of village even though that about 30 minutes walk.
Thanks Sally for pick up and introduce the sign-seen in the village. We 4 persons are love the quit environment with fresh air. I love the kitchen, very convenience let us prepare the breakfast and love to play with the most friendly dog, 'Pan'. Perfect 5-star cosy cottage in Lantau Island, no complaint... Highly recommend and will come back.
Hey again Canndy! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness in writing to explain! We have checked again our site and from what we see it says a check out of 11... but I can understand if your receipt says something different you would have gone with that. We are writing to airbnb to clear this up!
Your private suggestion for a small vacuum is a great idea and we will adopt it.
Usually folks put the rooms back (the couch bed back in, the pillows back etc) and pile linens and towels together but I can see from a cleaning point of view why you would have left stuff out. We are just used to guests that leave stuff the way they found it! Your response makes perfect sense and I hope you continue using airbnb!!!
About the Host, Elissa
I'm a (We are) fun loving neo-hippy(ies) (that is what my partner Morgan says to write!).... We've lived all over the world and chose Hong Kong for a reason. Come find out why! We love to host and can point a traveler in any direction needed in Hong Kong and the entire Asia region! Sharing is what it is all about. We are film makers and teachers. We do have busy lives so we combine just the right mix of meddling (so that you are comfortable) and staying out of your way (so you can be yourself). Life motto? Dunno: do it with passion.
