  • We had a great stay at this coastal Wicklow cottage. Sea lions(seals?) in the ocean, and a mother and pup in a nearby cove added to the enjoyment. Easy access to Dublin and the mountains, made this place an ideal base. Our host, Michael, was communicative and supportive and our visit went very well.

Thanks Trevor, hope to have you back some day.

  • Beautiful, well equipped seaside home. Micheal commuted quick. He was very informative. Great place to relax but still take day trips through Southern Ireland. House is set up well for family or two couples traveling. I would highly recommend Driftwood and hope to someday stay there again.

  • Wonderful time at Michael and Jane's lovely beach house! Excellent location (right across street from long beaches, easy half hour south of Dublin), comfortable, all the luxuries you could desire!
We had a small issue with a non-working shower, and a problematic cable box, all dealt with by Michael, but they did not in any way ruin our trip. Would return if the chance arose in a heartbeat!

  • Lovely house close to the sea we would highly recommend! The house had been perfectly prepared and is in a perfect condition, we have been very nicely welcome and even some food had been prepared for us for the breakfast! This is also a great place to discover Brittas Bay, to go to Wicklow Montains… So, enjoy your stay as much as we did!

About
We are a family of four, my son and I were born in Canada and my wife and daughter were born in Dublin. I am an airline captain, so travel extensively. My wife is a retired air hostess. Having lived and worked abroad, we cherish our getaway place by the sea. The kids attend school in Dublin, so the place is free much of the time. Since our lives are a mash-up of Canadian and Irish traditions and perspectives, we are respectfully irreverent. We delight in sharing the things to do and see in and around the county. While letting on a private basis, we had a little girl who celebrated her first 7 birthdays in our home as her family returned each summer for a fortnight! Alas, the family has since grown too big for our place.
