Fate has made me the steward of a 141 year old historic landmark called the Mount Washington House. This 14,000 sq ft Second Empire Mansard Victorian is located in the center of the hamlet of Hillsdale, placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. Prior to the pandemic, the first floor was home to a tavern and restaurant for over 65 years. Now, the bar room has been converted to a museum and the rest of the tavern is once again a historic lobby. I work full time for our region’s community foundation and my husband owns a Christmas Tree Farm in Great Barrington, MA. I’m hopeful that doing Airbnb’s will help me continue to renovate and keep the building. It’s a constant work in progress, but it has great energy and we hope you will visit. We welcome you to the Mount Washington House!
