10 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, St. James Park, Horse Guards Parade, this self-contained and fully equipped studio flat is ideally located to be a really central pied-a-terre for visitors to London.
The flat is a studio on the fourth floor of a secure block with entryphones and two lifts looking out over a quiet pedestrian passage.
It consists of:
• A small entrance hall with a coat cupboard and big shelf over it to store your suitcases.
• A separate kitchenette with electric hob and a microwave/oven/grill, refrigerator, NEW WASHING MACHINE, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle and all china and equipment necessary.
• The fully tiled bathroom has a full length bath with hand-shower unit AND NEW THERMOSTATIC POWER SHOWER, hand basin and WC.
• The main room is large and has a 5' (150cm.) wide double bed in an alcove.
• The flat is comfortably furnished for two people, with one queen-size bed. There is also an automatic inflatable mattress for one extra person for shorter stays. There is hanging space, shelves and drawer space. There is an iron and ironing board, a hair drier, basic sewing kit, radio, broadband internet and TV.
There is good central heating and hot water. The block is not centrally heated in the summer, so there is an electric fire in case of cold days.
The rent includes heating in winter, hot water, electricity, linen and high-speed broadband connection.
There is excellent easy shopping 5 minutes away on Victoria Street: A Marks and Spencer with good food hall and groceries, the usual High Street stores, supermarkets, fast-food outlets, take-aways and some nice pubs mean you can get meals and other necessities pretty much 24/7. There are also a couple of up-market (Michelin-starred) restaurants nearby if you are looking for fine dining.
For exercise-lovers, you are three minutes jog from the contiguous green areas of St.James' Park, Green Park and Hyde Park with great 5, 10, 20 k circuits. There is also a Bikram Yoga centre in the next block of flats.
No smokers, no pets.

Piers was a great host. He was very diligent in his communications before and during the trip. I was in London for business for the week and this was a lovely private base.
Good place on very quite street but very close to the center of London!
Piers flat was excellent, as seen in pictures it is cleaned, nice and well located. Communication with Piers went very well and was always available to help if we needed.
I would choose this flat if I have the chance to visit London again.
The apartment is perfect. Location is awesome. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the London Eye and Buckingham Palace and a 2 minute walk to the St. James's Park tube station. Piers is really organized, so he will mail you a house manual and answer all your questions before-hand.
If I visit London again, I will rent the place again. Amazing experience!
Piers is an extremely friendly and helpful host. My stay in Vandon Court was very comfortable. The location was also (email hidden)y minutes from the tube and walking distance from most of central London.

The location is at the very center of London, so close to Buckingham Palace. During our stay we celebrated the birth of Prince George : )
We were extremely pleased with Piers' flat and his involvement in making our stay comfortable. It was furnished with good taste, well supplied, comfortable large bed, and excellent shower. Piers went out of his way to facilitate our late-night entrance, purchased a large fan during a heat spell, and provided several people to help us. The location could not be better, so very near a Tube station and central to some of the best sites in London. We highly recommend this flat and its helpful owner.
It was my first time using airbnb to look for travel accommodation. My experience living in Piers's flat is very pleasant. Everything he explains in Vandon Court Manual is very helpful. We took bus 11 and 24 almost everyday and the food at the little Italian restaurant and the Chinese Restaurant (New Way Karaoke Wine Bar) at Strutton Ground are very good. The only pity is that we missed celebration of the coming of Prince of Cambridge, who was born one day after I left London.
Perfect Location: Five minutes walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and peaceful St.James Park and less than ten minutes to Victoria Station. Small but very convenient flat. Quiet and tasteful. Enjoy!
This appartmanet is very nice and cosy. Feels like in the old English Castle: there is a fire place (not in use), round table, big chairs... The bed is new and very comfortable. Bathroom with a real bath and good shower, small kitchenette stuffed with everything you need.
What I liked is that it's on the 4th floor, with big windows, so it's warm and light.
One of the highlights is the collection of books: there are some famous English novels, books about London, maps, even a book about birds, that you can meet in St James Park in 5 minutes walk from the house.
The location is just perfect for exploring London: you can walk to main attractions, Underground is actually in a couple minutes walking, also Victoria station is very close.
