Cozy, comfortable bedroom with day bed and trundle bed under it. Windows look out over a wooded back yard and creek is audible from bedroom. Old growth trees surround our mountain cabin...3 bedroom/1 bath, occupied by 2 earthy potter yogis, our 18 year old son [pretty laid back guy], 2 cats [mostly outside] and 1 small/cute dog. Hardwood floors, and natural décor (Lots of our pottery around ;-) Make sure you're OK with sharing a bathroom. We offer organic and healthy foods for breakfast, and peaceful vibes throughout. You're welcome to use frig and kitchen for cooking. A loving household and beautiful setting along creek in the heart of our little mountain town. Oh yes, and spectacular hiking within 5 minutes. We are within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, pubs (with live music), and shopping. There is a bus that runs to Asheville a few times per day. We are 15 miles from downtown Asheville. Enjoy!
Trish's home is wonderful and inviting and Trish is amazing. My friend Elizabeth and I not only had a lovely visit but now have a lovely new friend!
Trish and husband Will and son are very nice people.
I do find that a trundle bed is not great for any one with problems with knees etc. Trish had great communication skills and that was a pleasure.
The We did share the bath, the kitchen re frig was offered which was a big help.
Trish and her husband were wonderul hosts! Their home is very cozy, located in an adorable small town a short drive from Asheville. They were very hospitable, offering me tea, showing me their pottery studio, and drawing maps of good places to visit during my short stay. I would definitely return!
Trish and the family are good people. Very accommodating to our every needs. Would recommend anyone visiting Asheville to stay here.
We had a lovely time. Close to the center of town . Tidy comfortable digs with a lovely breakfast.
This is another one of those air B&B Homes where we not only found a beautiful place to stay but wonderful hosts. Will's top drawer pottery, made in his shop and laid on the table with fresh vegetables from the garden; Trish's breakfasts and Buddhism; their son Free's calm presence; the charming animals. I can speak for both of us that we would come back here anytime. The town of Black Mountain is charming and convenient—a 4 min. walk away with every kind of shop and large store we would want. Behind our host's home, across their stone path and stone-posted yard, through the back wooden gate and down the stairs there is a path by the stream—a greenway. A short drive to Montreat or Asheville took us into the wild mountains, or to the mountainous city for excellent food at the Posana Café.
I highly recommend staying with this great family. Thanks again guys!
