We love this neighborhood and hope you will too!
Andersonville is now considered one of Chicago’s “hot” neighborhoods. It also enjoys nationwide renown for its unique commercial district, comprised almost entirely of locally owned, independent businesses. It demonstrates what Andersonville locals have known for a long time: that the locally owned businesses are a crucial part of Andersonville’s vitality and quality of life, returning far more to the community in economic benefits and neighborhood involvement than would non-local businesses. Communities everywhere now look to emulate Andersonville as a model of a thriving urban neighborhood. Visit Andersonville(.)org for more details. You can access the redline train or bus line to access downtown Chicago and all the attractions. Commute to City center is about 20 minutes.
Main bus line (Clark 22) at end of our block.
"L" or subway transit line (Argyle stop) two blocks walk.
Both bus line and L give guests full access to downtown and neighborhoods. Downtown Chicago is about a 20 minute ride through all the historic neighborhoods.
Andersonville is a walkers a paradise with a 91 / 100 walkable score. You can rent bikes at the end of our block for $7.00 for a day. The lakefront bike path is just three blocks away and you can ride for miles and miles along Lake Michigan. Beautiful!
