Wander is a memorable, renovated, original 1969 A-frame cabin tucked away on a 1/3 acre of land filled with old-growth trees located 20 minutes from the edge of the Mt. Baker National Forest. The property backs up onto public land that connects to the wild Columbia Basin. Wander is a cozy getaway for couples, with a queen bed tucked into the upper story. For groups, there are two snug twin beds and a comfy full-sized sofa bed. Wander sleeps 4 comfortably with an expansive deck for tents.

The space
As seen on Instagram The Cabin Land, The Spruce, and Only in Washington.

The cabin is located in a rural neighborhood, set back from the quiet road by a short winding driveway, located on 1/3 acre on a quiet street. The back of the property backs up to open wilderness.

Minutes to hiking, the Bay to Baker Trail, fly fishing, rafting, and of course world-class snowboarding and skiing, Wander is 20-30 minutes to the edge of the Mt. Baker Forest and 45-60 minutes to the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The cabin is 20 minutes from the Canadian border Sumas crossing, and 30 minutes from laid-back Bellingham.

The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is one of the most visited forests in the country. Located on the west side of the Cascades between the Canadian border and Mt. Rainier National Park, you will find glacier-covered peaks, spectacular mountain meadows, and old-growth forests rich in history and outdoor opportunities.

There is fresh coffee to welcome you each morning, along with cream and a selection of teas. Wander is stocked with all of your cooking and baking utensils and pans, plus organic olive oil and select spices.

Location

Maple Falls, Washington, United States

Wander is tucked away in a small neighborhood located in Maple Falls. There are open woods to the right of the cabin, to the left you will see one neighbor. The cabin is within a neighborhood of rural homes. You will be surrounded by old-growth forest and expansive views of the sky. Favorites around the neighborhood are the North Fork Beer Shrine, Grahams and Chair 9.

There's a resident owl on the property too. As the cabin is located on the edge of the woods situated on 1/3 acre, you may see our friends the field mice around the cabin. Occasionally you may also run into a spider keeping up a home in the upper rafters.
