SUMMER IS HERE--everyone wants to go beach camping! I highly recommend weekday stays--and then STAY the weekend! Ask me about WEEKDAY & multiple day SPECIALS!

The Space

Awaiting you is a real Ventura Adventure--enjoy the beach and our seaside community full of artists, local events and activities, or... simply relax and do nothing!

Stay the night or stay a lil longer in a comfy 1955 Jewel Travel Trailer! Choose your location! Fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves (in Ventura) or the sound of owls in the nest of Ojai! All the comforts of home in the great outdoors! Memory Foam Mattress, Big Vintage Cooler, Fire wood included!
Add-ons include bikes, boogie boards, thai massage, yoga, meditation, firebuilding skills, I'll even cook for you over a fire! Leave feeling re-juvenated by simple living! We just added a nice dome tent for two (so you can expand your party) with another memory foam mattress!

Ventura Beach campgrounds are close to the Amtrak station and I'm happy to shuttle you to and fro. We are also right on the beach bike trail in most of our beachside locations, and Ventura makes a great rest-spot (close to town for any amenities/quick trip to the thrift for things you may need for your trip!)

Please Note! It seems camping is VERY popular these days! This summer is off to a very busy start... I highly recommend inquiring about WEEKDAY stays as the weekends are not only impossible to guarantee but it's also a LOT more tranquil when weekenders, families with little ones on scooters in the parking lot, and RV's on top of each other-- it's a bit less, CHILL. Holiday weekends are VERY competitive but if you book and stay at least two days before the holiday, we can more than likely get you a seaside campsite! Here are a few of our favorite spots (one is in Malibu, the other Carpenteria!) Check out the websites for more info or ask for a suggestion!
Faria Beach Campground:
I love this spot because it has hot showers and an amazing campground cafe! They make great coffee and fresh baked treats! (website hidden) $34 campground fee.

Hobson Beach: Another beach campground with hot showers and amazing Burritos made to order! If you pre-pay for your Burrito A.D. will bring it to your campsite! $34 camping fee. Reservations possible during low season/winter.

Emma Wood Campground:
This one I love because I can really get into primitive camping (mind you, while enjoying my creature comforts.) During most of the year, you will have lots and lots of campsites empty! That means more peace and privacy! $40 camping fee here. (website hidden)

Point Mugu:This one is just outside of Ventura County in Malibu and you will step right out of the trailer and onto the sand! It's along PCH so it's a great stop off as you head north or south!
and (website hidden)

Everyone loves Ojai ... Lake Casitas has wildlife as well as a lot of fun things to do... like a water park in the summer! You can also rent a boat on the lake... soooo peaceful!
http://(email hidden)/casitas/casitas_camping.html

Please note: Campsites run between $27-$48 above the trailer rental fee. (the higher price is if you would like electrical hook-ups for more light at night and if you want to perhaps make margaritas in a blender! : ) If you are interested in staying, please enquire about special offers for longer stays!

Guest Access

I'm happy to give you a tour of Ventura, the arts scene and our beautiful neighboring town of Ojai!

Interaction with Guests

I usually take my cue from the guests themselves. I am comfortable setting it up and not meeting/greeting, but I am also quite happy to share details, stories, cook you a meal over the fire, or teach you! (for a bit 'o extra cash, when I can!)-- I'll help you find your way, both at the campground, in town and beyond! Explore our lovely bike trail with me and we will be fast friends!

Getting around

If you have bikes, it is a few miles ride back to town for an array of restaurants, thriftstores, and galleries, etc. If you'd like to rent bikes from me, just let me know!

Other Things to Note

“Welcome Home!”
(your little home by the sea, that is!)
Here are some-- details, details…to make your stay easy peasy...

Finding stuff…Go ahead and look around --you will probably find what you need. Feel free to use anything--i.e. towels, sunscreen, hats, costumes
: )

Kitchen:
Stovetop: If you’d like to use the stovetop, you will find the propane tanks on the trailer. Turn BOTH knobs on, and please do remember to close the valves after cooking! Your nose, knows-- if you leave it on, you will smell it! Please be ultra aware of this important tip! You will see that 2 out of the 3 burners work!
• There is a fire extinguisher, but let’s hope to never have to use it!
• *Please don’t burn candles inside..… it’s just too risky.

Dishes: Please leave your dishes in the plastic bin or bucket outside. If you are feeling really energetic, you could put water in the bucket but don’t feel you have to do the dirty work--(you are on vacation!)

Lighting/Electrical:
You will find that we run the electricity from a battery. The light above the dining area is the go-to light as it’s always connected. You can also connect the inverter to the battery (positive to positive/negative to negative) so you can charge cell phones and plug in string lights, ipods, speakers, etc.

Towels/bedding: Feel free to use towels. Please aim to leave as much sand on the beach as possible, but of course, there will always be sand! Beds are most comfy without sand in the sheets, so do wipe your feet before diving into the covers! You will be glad you did! Extra blankets in the closet!

Funstuff! There are art suppliesbooks, costumes and and other fun stuff in cabinets and inside the little non-working sink . Also, some costumes, instruments and other relics to unleash your inner child! As we say in Circus Yoga, “Now Must Play!”

  • Lynne's camper was super cool. Clean sheets, comfy bed, lots of arty, fun decor. Very generous, and set everything up to make it comfortable and easy for us. Lynne even went through the trouble of securing a spot at the beach on the Fourth of July weekend for us. Very grateful! Would definitely book again. Thank you!

  • What a hoot....best time ever! I had secured a site, and Lynn brought her
cute little vintage trailer...and set it all up for us...she indeed was the hostess
with the mostess! Lynn set up lawn chairs, rug, firewood...so we could just come in
and enjoy We felt like we were transported to a bygone era....and loved every minute of it. When the time was up we hated to leave...but we knew that indeed
we would work with Airbnb and Lynn to have that same experience in the not too distant future! Thank you thank you, thank you!

  • My second visit was even better than the first! This time Lynne secured a spot on the beach at Faria Park, a cute little campground away from the long line of RVs.

In the trailer, everything was clear and well-organized, making it easy to find and enjoy roasting marshmallows! And the tangerines Lynne left for me were among the sweetest I've ever enjoyed.

  • Lynne is simply the best - gracious, upbeat and helpful. The trailer was a blast and a great adventure for me and my wife. It was comfy and cozy…all that we could have asked for. Big thumbs up.

  • The 'glamper' was such a hoot! Lynne had all the necessary items for beach fun including towels, chairs, bikes and hula hoops. It was parked 10 ft from the ocean and I fell asleep at night listening to the waves. I did not meet Lynne in person but she was very communicative regarding arrival location and answered quickly when I had questions. I stayed at the Faria beach campground which was very nice and the showers were hot (don't forget quarters). I would recommend this to anyone looking for an adventure.

  • I stayed 5 nights in this camper and it was ideal. Sea breeze, slept like a baby, all the amenities I needed, an attentive host (but by no means overbearing). A truly perfect experience and I highly recommend it to everyone. A million dollar view for so much less. Coming in on a monday, iIgot the seaside camping spot at Faria. i loved the camp cafe, the beach, the dolphin sightings. I ventured inland and hiked Paradise Falls, swam in the waterfall. The camper is clean and well-stocked, eccentric and playful. Lynne is great, so easy to work/coordinate with. A true "camper concierge". Thank you a million times over!!

  • I thought I just got lucky to have a prime space right on the beach at Hobson's. Then I learned that Lynne had spent two hours hanging around so she could claim that perfect location. I couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. I slept so well with the sound of crashing waves. As a host, Lynne is exceptionally helpful and accommodating, whether it's instructions on fire building or a recommendation for great seafood: Spencer Makenzie's Fish Tacos! Lynne has taken her cute trailer to Burning Man several times, and it's filled with art and her treasures. I think of this experience as Burning Man at the Beach: all the fun with little effort!

  • Sort of a disappointment. Lynne promised a slot at Faria, per the description, but got a call that Friday afternoon saying she couldn't get a slot there. No offer of a refund despite the broken agreement. Instead ended up by Lake Casitas which....was a far cry from what we envisioned but made the best of it -- had a few excellent walks with the dogs. The trailer is old but snuggly in a very retro way, couldn't really figure out the lights or how the stove worked -- all a bit sketchy but I presume if given clearer directions they do work. I still think it'd be a fun idea to be up by the beach in a trailer, but our night definitely didn't work out as hoped.

  • Lynne is a great Host and the trailer is an amazing way if you want to live a wild and original californian dream. After a week working in Ventura, I contacted Lynne to rent her trailer, because I wanted to enjoy the beach around and surf the famous waves of the region.. Lynne organized everything for me, found a surf board, a teacher to give lessons and a bike because I had no car.. Of course the trailer was a bit far located from the town (Faria beach campsite) if you do not have a car, but riding with the bike is ok if you are used to. The trailer is not that big so you might travel light, no internet access on laptop if you do not have it on your cellular, but you have electricity with batteries that is quite enough and finally good to disconnect for a few days! I really enjoyed staying there and although the trailer is old and not very confortable when you are tall like me it was a great wild time and charming adventure.. It is a bit expensive I would say because you also have to pay the camp fees and any add-ons, but Lynne manages everything to make you enjoy your stay so it's fair. Maybe I'll come back to stay longer!

  • We had two adults and a child stay in the cozy vintage camper at the beach. Great Summer holiday!
Lynne set the place up for us with all the funky and fun things you would want on holiday at the beach. The beds were very comfortable, we had everything we needed for a unique experience. The location was ideal!
Something to be said of just showing up and have everything set for you, camping without the work!
We will be back for sure!
