  • communication with mohamad in the reservation process was perfect
the location is ideal: we walked everywhere from the hotel and nearly everyone in reception spoke english
no luxury, but everything one needed was available, the bed was very good and comfortable, bathroom was a good size and clean, A/C worked very well and power cuts were only momentary
the breakfast was brought to our room which was a nice touch, but (my only complaint) was limited (pre-sweetened tea, not coffee, scrambled eggs, bread and cheese)

  • Mohamad was very helpful and responded to all of my (many) questions promptly. The residence staff were also friendly; there was a problem with the bathroom on the first night and I was able to switch rooms without any hassle. Overall, I had a nice experience and if I visit Cairo again I'll consider staying here again. Great location too.

  • mohamad is a wonderful host: intelligent, generous, helpful, considerate. i had an excellent time in beirut and would happily stay with mohamad and the crew at diana tower again. they are all very fun and great hosts and whenever you need anything, all you have to do is dial zero and it will come right to your room. perfect. thank you very much!

  • The bnb is conveniently situated in hamra the heart of beirut only 15 mins by car from down town. The setting is very suitable and LAU and AUB are found close by. Amazing place to spend your visit.

  • It was nice location, clean and light room number on 11th floor with a bedroom and balcony with overview. Breakfast was included. I could not see Mohamed, but I fulfilled all my plans on Beirut - Great City with great constructions everywhere :(
P.S. Probably, next time I will choose district GEMMAYZEH, because of more vibrant nightlife, plenty excellent French restaurants and more :):)

  • We had a terrible experience because we wanted an Airbnb experience, not a 2 star hotel experience. For what we paid in terms of price, we felt absolutely ripped off. I have used Airbnb multiple times now in many countries and without a shadow of doubt this is the worst experience I ever had. The only good thing I have to say is the communication part. All other aspects can be summed up as 'terrible' at best.

Please use this hotel if you want to see how bad a toilet can be.

  • The whole experience was completely painless - even when the first room we had smelt strongly of sewage in the bathroom and the bedroom light wasn't functional. Changing rooms wasn't a problem as many others have pointed out, this is an apartment in a furnished block with a concierge. Not sure what it would've been like had the block been booked up, but we were upgraded without fuss.

This isn't the typical airbnb experience, nor is it anywhere close to a hotel, but it's basic, in a fantastic location for the youthful bar/cafe district of Hamra and the free wifi is definitely a bonus.

Mohamad made sure we had a driver whenever we wanted, for excursions to Jeita and Byblos as well as taking us to and from the Airport - competitive prices and he'll even take you himself if you give him enough warning!

    Also, Beirut is great.

  • Beirut is great, the location is great and Mohamad is also a great host! Other staff is also very friendly and helpful. It is clean and room 1005 has a nice view over the sea. This is a huge apartment building/hotel, so do not expect a private home, but it is really cool and quite a decent price.

  • Mohamad and the people at Diana tower were very helpful and hospitable. I very much enjoyed my stay.
