Far from the city noise and close to the Red Sea, our beach hotel is the perfect place to start or finish your tour of Jordan, relax and enjoy the sea.

Divers, snorkelers, sun worshipers and beach lovers are welcome!

Renovated in early 2014.

The space

(Please note: We are located in Aqaba, Jordan and NOT in Eilat, Israel - even if you find us in the Eilat search results)

The room is not my personal home. It is located inside Darna Divers Village Beach Hotel, our family-run hotel and scuba dive complex at the Red Sea, south of Aqaba, Jordan.

Last renovation: early 2015.

The room is air conditioned and has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Towels and bed linen are of course provided.
Breakfast is also included in the price of the room.

This room has 3 single beds.
If you need more rooms or extra beds, please message us before booking.

Wireless internet connection is available free of charge in the common areas: restaurant and around the swimming pool.

Free parking available.

A'la carte restaurant on site.

It is a great location for a relaxing holiday, snorkeling and diving.

Transfer from the Eilat border and Aqaba airport can be arranged after you make the reservation, as well as transfers and private guided tours to Petra and Wadi Rum.

Warning for guests arriving from via the Eilat-Aqaba border crossing:
Since 1 January 2016, "visa on arrival" is not available any more at this border. You must obtain visa from a Jordanian consulate or buy the Jordan Pass online.
Israeli citizens must pre-arrange their visa by a local travel agency in Aqaba at least 3 days prior arrival.
Contact me if you need help in finding a travel agent.

Please feel free to contact me in case you have any questions about the place. We will be happy to host you.

As described but better! My 2 brothers and I stayed here after enjoying Petra and Wadi Rum. We were pleasantly surprised by our room (3 beds in a shared room) but were taken aback from the family-like hospitality at Darna ~ located across the street from the beach. The breakfast was great too. We had a great dive with Ricardo and a nice snorkel on the following day - all very affordable. Highly recommended, and will definitely return! Thanks, Stephen

We really enjoyed our stay in Darna Village; the hotel is right across the road from the sea, & has a lovely pool with views of the beach & the sea. There's a nice reef right in front of the hotel which is good for snorkeling. We had sea facing rooms & could watch the sunset from outside our rooms; the only slight disadvantage being that these rooms are a little noisy from the road, but it really wasn't too bad. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, & the food in the restaurant is really good & reasonably priced. My only slight criticism would be that some of the staff are a little too 'laid back', & sometimes not very attentive to the needs of guests (e.g. sometimes the guys are a bit occupied with their mobile phones & don't notice that guests want to order food etc!) .

We did not meet Eszter because it is actually an hostel and not a bnb. The place is more or less as seen in the picture. Rooms and facilities are super basic. The room was not ready when we arrived despite we informed of our arrival time and even got an answer. They seemed surprise to see us. This being said manager family is nice, food is good and worth to book a dinner their. No alcohol is served but you can bring your own (and hide it). The price was double because of Eid. Did not really worth the price we paid but with normal rate and if you do not plan to stay in the hotel, could be ok if you spent all your day out snorkeling/diving .

Response from Eszter:
Hi Typhaine, Thanks for you feedback. The manager WAS informed about your booking - it is in the system from the minute the reservation is made. However, Eid is a very hectic time and the staff is usually overloaded with work. I apologize for any inconveniences. Also, thank you very much for your suggestions for improvements, I will share them with the management. All the best, Eszter

The snorkeling and food were great, but lots of remodeling and no hot water were unfortunate struggles. The hosts are very, very kind and helpful

Overall, the place was OK. We've lived in Jordan on and off for 8 years and we are looking for a reasonable priced place that we can return to...we both walked away not convinced that this would fit that need. The accommodations were fine and the room was clean. However, the service was 2 stars at best. We will probably try a different place next time. Our room was not ready when we arrived (confirmed 12 noon arrival) and we were not offered to store our bags and go to the pool or anything. We drove back into Aqaba (10 minute drive) and returned 3 hours later. I would rather stay in a 3 star hotel in the middle of Aqaba. I suggest looking into other options.
