Rarely available private beach front property on the quietest part of Charlestown Beach. Expanses of open beach to left and right. Sunrise, moonrise & sunset views from decks/balconies.
3 bedrooms with master, family room (sleeps 4) and twin bedroom. This house could accommodate 2 families, a great girls' retreat or fish from the shore as the sea livens up from August onwards. Wonderful adult or family vacation getaway.

The space
This is our family's happy place and we try to share that experience. The private beach is uniquely placed between the state and the public beach so away from the crowds. The beach in front of the house is private and for exclusive use of our home.
We have done extensive upgrades this season (despite COVID!) with new beach front sliding doors, upstairs half bathroom, upper level beach side deck, outdoor mahogany shower and new upper level flooring.
Barbecue on the ground floor deck, loungers on both lower and upper decks and small round exterior table on the front upper deck for romantic sunset drinks/dinner for 2 people.
Excellent reliable wifi for working from home (Cox 150Mbps - unlike our home wifi anytime I run a test here I alway get >150Mbps download). I set up one of the small round deck table in either of the bedrooms and have an instant home office.
We have just winterized the house so hope to be able to offer a beach experience way beyond the normal beach rental season. If you do not see availability during off season drop us a note - it may be available!

The beach is simply amazing! Unlike other parts of Charlestown beach, this area is private so directly in from of the house is only used by who ever is in the house. Selection of beach games in the house if your feeling energetic, or relax on the beach or talk a leisurely stroll. We are a short walk from the Breachaway for amazing fishing and in the other direction is the town beach or a long beautiful beach walk to South Kingston beach. Rent kayaks at one of two places close by or go clamming in the salt water pond.
Reward yourself with the best scones for breakfast after a brisk 1.5 mile morning walk (or take the car!) to the Bakery. Great coffee and always a wide smile. Across the road - best fish in town at Happy Acres (the smoke fish is amazing), home grown herbs too and local cheeses. Next door is Peaches for additional selection of vegetables, baked goods and plants.
Don't miss out on a trip to the Fantastic Umbrella Factory (shopping, food, native American art, trails, chickens...), Frosty Dew observatory on Ninigret pond (wild life refuse too), Dave's Coffee and don't miss the Rathskeller for live music, outdoor games and the largest fire pit I've ever seen .
Just a few "must dos" during your stay and we're finding out more the longer we have the house!

mom, wife, research scientist and advocate for hand crafted and shop local - a bit of an eclectic mixture! But my most recent addition is beach lover. We've rediscovered our family's love of the beach in our new beach home and happy to share this idilic local with fellow "airbnber"s.
As guests, we've had some great airbnb experiences and some that were mmh, ok... Our goal to be able to give you a great experience! While staying in our home we want you share the same experience as we do so we've tried to anticipate what you would need. It's a beach house directly on the beach so we hope you will spend most of your time on the beach or deck but inside the house are games, DVDs etc for a rainy day too. We're accumulating restaurant and shopping tips to share as we get to know the area better.
Use the high speed wifi on or off the beach and even work from "home" to allow you extend your stay an extra day or two!
If we can we will always be flexible with check in and check out times - just ask!
