Anthony and Olive were so welcoming to their lovely little cottage- it was their gracious hosting that really made our stay. Even though the cottage is right beside their home we had complete privacy. The cottage is very comfortable and homely. Even though it's an old stone cottage it has all the practical things you need as well as lots of great books to read if the weather isn't great.
We had a lovely time staying in this gorgeous little cottage. Communication with Anthony prior to our visit was great and he was very speedy to respond to our questions. He and Olive were fantastic hosts and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. They were so friendly and took time out for a chat and gave us good tips on the local area. The cottage is located within 5 minutes walk of the coast and some fantastic walks with incredible scenery. On Anthony's advice we took the coast walk to Rossnowlagh, stopping off for a pint at the Smugglers Creek Inn before returning to our cosy home from home, complete with wood burning stove. A perfect end to our holiday.
Both Anthony & Olivia were wonderful and welcoming & thoughtful hosts. Generously driving us to & from the coach terminal. Providing suggestions of stunning walks to explore and insider knowledge of artisan shopping in Ballyshannon at Local Hands, fantastic true Irish pubs & at the home of the late great guitarist Rory Gallagher we saw art still at the heart of Ballyshannon meeting poets, musicians & writers. The cottage itself was an ideal reprieve from city life & apartment living, beautifully and creatively laid out with interesting pieces and character throughout showing the warmth of an Irish home. The tranquil surroundings to relax in adding to the experience including an outdoor reading circle. A wonderful place & people to visit Donegal from.
Dhr & Mw Travers bedankt!
We had a very restful stay at Anthony's cottage in Creevy Point.Anthony is a wealth of knowledge about the area but with the weather being a bit too cold & wet to do too much more , we relaxed in front of the fire and read some of Anthony's great book collection.
The perfect place for a much needed rest. The food at the pub was delicious too!
We were a group of 3 with a car attending a nearby wedding and the cottage suited us perfectly, being beautifully renovated, well equipped and cosy! Anthony and Olive were excellent hosts and couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Overall a great experience - thanks!
