The Space

The room is a large bright space downstairs with a bathroom for your exclusive use. We live in a great part of the city, a quiet, very pretty Victorian street with the city centre on its doorstep. The house has recently been renovated, so it's very comfortable, bright and warm. The bedroom is a large room with period features such as a high ceiling, fireplace and a wooden floor. It also has a sofa, a comfortable double bed with a quality mattress, bookshelves and a piano!. It's a really quiet room, perfect to chill out in and get a good night's sleep! We do not have any pets.

The sofa in the room could easily accommodate a child and I can provide a cot upon request.

Guest Access

There's a full kitchen & dining area, a separate sitting room and rear patio which you are free to use as you please. There is excellent free wi-fi. There's bathroom down the hall from your room for your exclusive use.

This area is full of cool cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets.

You can make yourself at home and help yourself to tea / filter coffee. There is a shelf in the fridge laden with breakfast goodies for you to help yourself to as well as a selection of cereals. Please just ask if you have any requests and I'll try to get it for you.

Interaction with Guests

I love to travel and meet new people but completely understand if you'd like to have some downtime - so you can have as much or as little interaction with us as you prefer!

I've prepared a list of all my favourite local spots, from funky cafes, to the best sandwich shop, to parks and of course the best most authentic pubs - I love giving tips / spilling secrets!

The Neighborhood

The Neighbourhood, Broadstone is a collection of streets of Victorian redbrick cottages surrounding a gorgeous little Park. It's a perfect example of an oasis - calm and quiet but just minutes from the City centre and all of its amenities. James Joyce lived two doors away where he wrote those nasty letters which were discovered under the floorboards!

Getting Around

It's just a 5 minute walk to the main street of Dublin, O'Connell St. Parnell Square with The Hugh Lane Gallery and The Dublin writers museum are just around the corner.

We are on the busiest Dublin bus route (46a), a 2 minute Walk from one of Dublin's busiest bus stops (Parnell Square).

The number 16 bus will take you from the airport to Dorset St., where it's just a 3 minute walk to the house. This is by far the cheapest way from the airport, about €3 per person. It will probably take approx 30 minutes.

A taxi costs about €20 from the airport.

My favourite way to see the city is by bike. There are two Dublin Bike stations within a one minute walk from us - the bikes cost just €5 for a three day ticket and you can use them anywhere around the city centre.

I can provide you with a parking pass for on street parking on our street. Because our house is so central, it usually costs €2 per hour; for you it will be free!

I would just ask that you please make sure you lock the doors when you're leaving for the day.

Though I don't smoke, you're welcome to smoke outside on the patio.
