Geco is a really nice cabin with jungle and ocean view and only view steps away from our pool. It is the newest of all and has the best finish.
The antic wood gives it his unique warm touch. We are 2,5 miles uphill Montezuma.
The details on it, tells about our way of
embracing life, our view of creation. The cabin has a bigger balcony welcoming the horizon and jungle with it's animals and birds. The sunrise awakes on the bed. Pelicans, frigate birds, falcons and other bird species indulge the sky day by day. Cheers !
*The materials used on the construction of all cabins are from native antique wood: floors, doors and windows that we have rescued over the years, in order to avoid cutting more trees and for recycling purposes. Some of those pieces are from 1920.
All guest have access to the shared pool and all the organic fruits the can find on the property.
Interaction with Guests
We or our worker are always close to you for any question or needs.
Quiet, save and lots of nature. Best views in the area.t´s quiet, save and nature oriented area. Also called Montezuma hills. We are on the same cliff as villa paraiso, Montezuma hills and Lunatica lounge. It has one of the best ocean views in the country and still has not over grown. Each property on this residencial area has at least one and a half acres, what makes it really private.
There is almost no traffic going on, might be there will be twice a day a car passing.
It is the best to have your own vehicle to explore all the highlights in the area. There is also taxi service available. The cabins are in a strategic point from where you can take short cuts to Santa Teresa, Mal Pais, Cabuya (Cabo blanco park) and Cobano.
Other Things to Note
Feel home and make it your own new home.
Dogs are welcomed since we have two sweet ones.
Non Smoking inside the cabins, always feel welcome and happy, do not feed our dogs otherwise the move in with you. Close windows and doors when you are out, otherwise the white face monkeys and skunks see that as an invitation. Always remember you are in a area with tropical forest, enjoy the wildlife it's a lot of fun.
Peter and Rocio's cabin had the most amazing view of Montezuma. We were originally booked in the Geco cabin, but there were electricity problems so they put us in the Mariposa cabin (brief electricity outages seem to be somewhat common in the Nicoya Peninsula). They were such helpful and friendly hosts. Very communicative, quick in responding, and arranged for an ATV drop off as soon as we arrived to the Mariposa cabin. Peter was even sure to speak to us on the phone as soon as we arrived to make sure everything was in order. The place is just the right amount of space for 2 people, equipped with a fridge and fully stocked kitchen. It can get quite humid without any AC, but there was a tower fan to cool us off. We enjoyed the tree-lined path to the house and the outdoor shower.
We stayed in Montezuma for three days and had a wonderful experience at the Geco cabin! Everything was simply perfect, from the incredible view, the clean and beautiful room to the pool and hammok. Let's not forget the numerous birds we saw sipping our morning coffee and the two lovely dogs Star and Luna. Finally but not least, Peter was a perfect host: very knowledgeable about the area, very interesting to discuss with and he even had aloe vera bushes for the sunburns! We recommend it to anyone and intend on going back before long.
We cannot say enough great things about Peter, Rocio, and Natalie's place. Amazing view. Great service. They weren't there, but ensured we were taken care of. They even extended us use of the pool and deck. Thank you so much for sending along great directions, restaurant suggestions, and things to do. We loved Montezuma, and most of that was due to our hosts. We will be back.
The Geco cabin was an excellent place to stay! Very cute and cozy. Feels very private. STUNNING view from our deck and the pool area! Peter brought us fresh Mangos and Cashew fruit one morning which was very nice. They have two dogs that are very very friendly and low energy. The cabins are located outside of Montezuma a few KMs up a hill so transportation is recommended. We rented a quad (with the help of Peter!) during our stay which made coming and going easy. To cab there from town is roughly $10 usd.
Highly recommend it - We would stay again in a heartbeat!
This place is so amazing.....
the pictures that you can see on Airbnb are not even good enough for this place.
We stayed in the Colibri and Mariposa and both houses were totaly overwhelming.
The way up to the Montezuma heights is a little hard to find but its tottaly worth it.
Best Place in Montezuma, maybe in whole Costa Rica.
Thank you so much for this great stay and we will come back as soon as we can.
P.s. Santiago is great, he took care of everything soooooo good
Amazing view! The pool is fabulous. We could not believe our luck in finding this place.
Stunning! Our expectations were exceeded. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Waking up and enjoying coffee poolside while watching the sunrise was our favorite thing to do here. Maybe a little swim before heading down the hill to town for yoga. We were able to enjoy many meals utilizing the kitchenette in the cabin and sitting on the private deck. As dusk fell, we'd listen to the howler monkeys and birds while the cool ocean breeze rustled through the jungle. The property is filled with artistic detail that added to its charm: original artwork, eco-friendly architecture and beautiful tile. Our host, Peter, and his caretaker, Santiago, were lovely and helpful. We look forward to staying here again as Costa Rica, and especially Montezuma, is already calling us back.
