About This Listing
Geco is a really nice cabin with jungle and ocean view and only view steps away from our pool. It is the newest of all and has the best finish.
The antic wood gives it his unique warm touch. We are 2,5 miles uphill Montezuma.
The details on it, tells about our way of
embracing life, our view of creation. The cabin has a bigger balcony welcoming the horizon and jungle with it's animals and birds. The sunrise awakes on the bed. Pelicans, frigate birds, falcons and other bird species indulge the sky day by day. Cheers !
*The materials used on the construction of all cabins are from native antique wood: floors, doors and windows that we have rescued over the years, in order to avoid cutting more trees and for recycling purposes. Some of those pieces are from 1920.
All guest have access to the shared pool and all the organic fruits the can find on the property.

Quiet, save and lots of nature. Best views in the area.t´s quiet, save and nature oriented area. Also called Montezuma hills. We are on the same cliff as villa paraiso, Montezuma hills and Lunatica lounge. It has one of the best ocean views in the country and still has not over grown. Each property on this residencial area has at least one and a half acres, what makes it really private.
There is almost no traffic going on, might be there will be twice a day a car passing.
It is the best to have your own vehicle to explore all the highlights in the area. There is also taxi service available. The cabins are in a strategic point from where you can take short cuts to Santa Teresa, Mal Pais, Cabuya (Cabo blanco park) and Cobano.
Other Things to Note
Feel home and make it your own new home.
Dogs are welcomed since we have two sweet ones.
Non Smoking inside the cabins, always feel welcome and happy, do not feed our dogs otherwise the move in with you. Close windows and doors when you are out, otherwise the white face monkeys and skunks see that as an invitation. Always remember you are in a area with tropical forest, enjoy the wildlife it's a lot of fun.

Beautiful location. A little off the beaten path. Not far from Montezuma. 4X4 is helpful. Very quiet. Was hot when we were there. Fan helped and so did the pool. Nice kitchen for making breakfast. Recommend it.
Excellent stay at an overwelming location. Pure bliss in Montesuma, where you can either indulge yourself in privacy on the ridges of the mountain, or go into town with help of the instructions that the lovely hosts worked out for their tenants. Make sure that you have a four wheel drive if any rain is expected.
We had a wonderful time. The hosts make you feel very welcome and want to tend to your needs. Oh and Peter, that lunch place in Caboua that you pointed out: fantastic.
Once we arrived in Montezuma we got lost and Peter was there in a jiffy to show us the way to him and Rocio's beautiful place. The pictures look beautiful and still they don't justify the experience. Our first night we sat out our deck over looking the ocean and watched the hundreds of fireflies floating around and listened to the night sounds. Peter was an awesome host, he showed us around his property and shared his stories. Thank you so much Peter and Rocio for opening your home to us, such a cool experience!
So our experience was awesome staying in both the Mariposa and the geco cabin. It was a great trip and Peter it's an amazing host. He show us around the cabin and the pool in the main house. The view is incredible it was the first I saw and it was breath-taking. Besides that we went on full moon and the way you can see the moon from up there incredible. Peter even show us around town and gave us great tips on where to eat and to purchase groceries. We will definitely go again. Great place and awesome host.
Peter and Rocio's cabin had the most amazing view of Montezuma. We were originally booked in the Geco cabin, but there were electricity problems so they put us in the Mariposa cabin (brief electricity outages seem to be somewhat common in the Nicoya Peninsula). They were such helpful and friendly hosts. Very communicative, quick in responding, and arranged for an ATV drop off as soon as we arrived to the Mariposa cabin. Peter was even sure to speak to us on the phone as soon as we arrived to make sure everything was in order. The place is just the right amount of space for 2 people, equipped with a fridge and fully stocked kitchen. It can get quite humid without any AC, but there was a tower fan to cool us off. We enjoyed the tree-lined path to the house and the outdoor shower.
We stayed in Montezuma for three days and had a wonderful experience at the Geco cabin! Everything was simply perfect, from the incredible view, the clean and beautiful room to the pool and hammok. Let's not forget the numerous birds we saw sipping our morning coffee and the two lovely dogs Star and Luna. Finally but not least, Peter was a perfect host: very knowledgeable about the area, very interesting to discuss with and he even had aloe vera bushes for the sunburns! We recommend it to anyone and intend on going back before long.
