I stayed at Catherine's newly renovated condo on the third floor. It was a spacious and clean private room and bathroom in her condo, in which she and her dog Jax live. The messages received from her during the days prior to my arrival were a welcoming touch. Her attitude with guests is exactly the epitome of what Airbnb intended...creating welcoming home-like experiences for out-of-town visitors.
I was attending a conference at the convention center, and it was an easy 10-minute walk between her home and the center. It's an easy 10-minute walk the other direction to get to Magazine Street where there are several shops, restaurants, and bars.
Katherine welcomed us into her apartment where we had a very pleasant stay together. This was our first experience with Airbnb. We were very pleased and satisfied and will certainly use Airbnb again. There is a good coffee shop across the street and many restaurants nearby. It is an easy walk to the bus stop or tram stop. Buses and trams leave every 20 minutes making easy to get around. Katherine also let us use her bicycle to get around. Her Wifi worked perfectly and fast. The room and apartment was very clean. We appreciated Katherine's hospitality and all she did to make us welcome.
Catherine was a great host! My parents stayed at her place for 3 nights and despite their not speaking any word of English they were really happy and had a great time. Catherine's place is super cosy, clean and nicely decorated. Also it is very close to the French Quarter. The room and bed were big enough for two people and Catherine even put a basket filled with american products in the room, which was great for the french tourists that we were. I would definitely recommend this place to any friend coming to visit in New Orleans!
Catherine kindly hosted my first out-of-town Airbnb visit. She was very responsive and friendly. The bed was very comfortable -- I slept very well. Clean room and clean bathroom. WiFi worked. Located within walking distance of the Convention Center. Worked-out well. Thank You.
A wonderful stay for my first airbnb experience. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable -- I slept in every day! Catherine was a great host, answering all my questions about New Orleans (even the weird ones).
Catherine's accommodations exceeded my expectations. The location can't be beat. The LGD is quiet and places like the convention center, French Quarter, Warehouse, etc. are easily gotten to.
Catherine's guest spaces are comfortable, well looked after and served as a welcome respite after my long days at the convention center. As an AirBnB hostess, Catherine has the knack - easy to talk to and has plenty of local knowledge. The dog, Jax, is a sweetheart and warms up to strangers readily.
If my travels bring me back to NOLA, I would definitely book through AirBnB with Catherine again.
