Great location

Hello dear travelers, welcome to our Kotli room! You´ll be located in the strict city center so lots of nice bars and restaurants will be in walking distance! To go to the beach is quite easy with public transport. Although being close to the hustle and bustle especially in the summer, you´ll notice that the thick walls of the Austro-Hungarian building you´ll be staying in keeps things peaceful. We will be just next door so for anything you might need, just let us know!

The space
The rooms on this location have been completely rebuilt and are just now (summer 2019) ready to be used. The room Kotli is located on the 2nd floor, at the corner of the building so it has really nice views of the Jurine and Franine stairs leading to Monte Zaro, and on the other side you will be looking at Home of the Homeland War Veterans - a huge and very beautiful Austro-Hungarian building, used mainly for events nowadays like proms and weddings.

Why Kotli? All the rooms and the apartment in the flat have a common topic -Istrian treasures- meaning that every room is a representative of a different small Istrian town/village which often remains unknown to tourists. This room is about Kotli, a small village in central Istria which, due to its isolation, kept its rural 19th-century look. Kotli was once the leading economic village of the Hum area- Humština, with well-known millers and tailors. The watermill has been preserved to this day. Today Kotli is a protected rural complex with preserved courtyards, outer staircases, arched passages, and picturesque chimneys. The Mirna river flows through the village forming waterfalls and hollowing cauldron-like forms in stone that gave the village its name (Croatian kotao=cauldron).

Where you’ll be

Pula, Istarska županija, Croatia

The room is located in the city center where everything is just a few steps away. Since the city center of Pula is quite small you won't need any transportation to see most of the tourist attractions. The bus to go to the beach to is just 3 minutes away by walking, and if you want to drive there is not more than 5-7 minutes. There is free local parking available in the a few neighbouring streets, but during summer months it's difficult to find a place because of the number of tourists in the city.

Hi guys, We are 24 and 27 year old sisters from Pula, Croatia. Adriana is a law graduate, currently doing an internship in Barcelona, and Ines is an architect living and working in Pula. We enjoy travelling but also meeting travellers on their way through Pula, sharing experiences and just making new friends :). We are originally from Pula so we will be able to answer pretty much anything you want to know on your arrival. We are a really close and funny family of four, five in fact- can't forget our Lun, 12 yeard olf Westy. :) I (Adriana) have been volunteering in a dog shelter called Snoopy in Pula for the past 4 years, and I looove all animals, especially cats and dogs. I do quite a bit of volunteering here in Barcelona as well :) Ines studied in Trieste so you can parlare italiano with her without a problem :) She is an amazing architect and enjoys her work very much! She also has a hidden (well, not so hidden) cake making skills which we all love about her :D Our dad´s name is Boris and he is an engineer but he works in marketing. His office is right next to the rentals so if there is any problem or a late checkin, he is the person you'll most probably meet. He is seriously one of the nicest guys ever, a total sweetheart and always willing to help :) While talking about our family it wouldn't be fair not to mention our mom Slavica, which is a silent partner in this firm :P she works a lot in her job so you probably won't meet her but if you're surprised about how clean everything is- that's her doing. So there you have it guys, you know a lot about us- it's your turn! We're looking forward to meet you and host you. See you soon in sunny Pula! :)
