Lovely privately owned ocean view condo located in Villas Nicolas.Open floor plan studio , suitable for up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, all hotel amenities,including maid service. A second bedroom can be added for an additional cost.
Our places is perfect for people looking for separate beds side by side up to 3 adults or 2 adults and two children (above 6 yold). The place also has full cooking facilities, maid service every day and breakfast is included on this rate.
Children under are not allowed in the property.
The guests will have access to all Hotel facilities; swimming pool, restaurant on premises open for breakfast and dinner, concierge services where you can book your activities, tours, side trips and more.
Interaction with Guests
The Front Desk is open from 7am to 8pm daily and we have a security guard patrolling from 6pm to 6am. There is always someone on duty for any emergencies that you may have.
Rate is based on double occupancy. Only registered guests are allowed access to the facilities at Villas Nicolas.
This is a tranquil property not suited for the "party crowd".
Smoking is not permitted inside the Condos or in public areas and pets are not allowed.
My boyfriend and I stayed here during peak season (Dec 25-29) and although we loved Manuel Antonio and overall enjoyed our stay at Villas Nicolas, future Airbnb-ers should take the time to read this:
Encountering several issues the first night left an extremely bad taste in our mouths and when we explained our issues to the Manager, we were essentially told that "these things happen." No apology and the comment "Everything works perfectly fine before peak season" wasn't what we expected to hear, especially when we brought up our concerns in a very respectful manner.
What happened --> We traveled from La Fortuna to Manuel Antonio and our first night at Villas Nicolas we were "upgraded" to a room with a kitchen. Knowing this ahead of time, we made plans to relax and cook a big Christmas dinner, before we would have to move our bags to a different room the next day. 1) There was no hot water in the shower, and that was a horrible experience after a long travel day. 2) We couldn't get any of our devices (iphones, ipad, computer) to connect to any of the wi-fi options the entire evening. 3) Only ONE burner on the stove worked, which made it extremely difficult (nearly impossible) to cook a full meal. 4) The kitchen had some utensils but no salt, olive oil, paper towels, etc. so we had to buy all of those supplies for one meal 5) The upgraded room layout appears a lot bigger/better in the images online so were disappointed walking in initially. It was NOT worth the extra money for the 3-up vs. 2-up.
Other feedback from our experience:
-Location. It's a cheap bus ride to the main spots and there are several restaurants, shops, and other hotels within walking distance.
-Breakfast is included
-Patio with a hammock overlooking the ocean was pretty incredible
-A quiet, peaceful, jungle-feel inside the secure gates (with a guard to watch who comes in and out at night)
-Hotel-type cleaning services to ensure a tidy place when you come home each day
-Pool, hot tub, and shower area was convenient
-Friendly, English-speaking front desk staff
-If you're interested in going white-water rafting, definitely sign-up and use the company recommended at the front desk. Great experience.
-Restaurant is not open for lunch
-Others described seeing monkeys everywhere but we only saw one at the entrance briefly upon arrival. Not a huge deal, just don't get your hopes up.
-We couldn't connect to the wi-fi for the entire first day we were there. Depending on the location of your room, you may or may not have reliable wi-fi.
-Pillows and beds were uncomfortable
-Lack of accountability and customer service in response to our horrible first night. We truly feel the manager should have done something (and at a minimum, apologized) to make it up to us.

Christmas day is one of those times when "Murphy's Law" almost always seems to prove itself true. I believe that was more the spirit of my comment to you when you mentioned that there were some issues your 1st night here.
Our suites are self (website hidden) such, we provide the means & utensils to cook ,not the ingredients. The Wifi in the rooms is provided by the cable company so occasionally we are at its mercy if there are fluctuations in power. We have an alternate source of WIFI provided by the phone company which is accessible in the pool and Rancho area. You could have used that .
We did not have other complaints about lack of internet,which was commendable given that we were full to capacity, Costa Rica is a 3rd world country & most people stay logged one with 2 or more devices.
We have been in business for 25 years. I believe that the no of return guests we have plus our favorable reviews speaks volumes for Villas Nicolas.Of course there can be glitches from time & we endeavor to do our best, given the circumstances to correct them.

I am originally from Canada however I have lived in Costa Rica for over 20 years!. I fell in love with this country and its nature as soon as I arrived.
