  • We have stayed in the Green House in the first week of March (twice one night). It was truly a very good place to spend your time in Puerto Princesa. Ad and Susan are great hosts, they do everything to make your stay memorable. I especially liked the ´omelet a la Susan´. We had an airport pickup en there is a tricycle stand 50 meters from the Green House, so you´ll be in town within 10 minutes. Ad and Susan know the place and the city they live in very well, so there was no lack of good advice! Also Ad en Susan arranged our trip to El Nido back and forth, which was perfect. The appartments are just everything you need, and clean. Fast wifi was great. If we would return to Palawan, we´ll stay again!

    Response from Susan:

Linda and Milo, thank you very much for your stay here. It was nice to talk to a couple of sweet and warm Dutch people. You are always welcome here when you decide to come back. Then take a direct flight to Manila and spend a nice piece Frisian clove cheese for me. I will make sure the croquettes and a mango shake on the table. Take care and God bless you.

  • My Wife and I had some pending business to attend to in Puerto Princesa and actually found Ad and Ate Susan via my trike Driver. We stayed with them a total of 93 days and had the most wonderful time. I am a member of the Airbnb community and didn't know that Ad and Susan were Airbnb hosts. So before our departure we booked with the Airbnb website to make 100% certain we could leave our review. Ad and Susan are wonderful hosts and in no time at all we felt like family. Ate Susan is a wealth of information and can very quickly handle any travel tour excursions as she is on a first name basis with all the agencies. Both Ad and Susan were flexible and again having stayed with them for the three months were were able to see many guest come and go. Many of which my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to. Upon departure all had praise and kind words for Ad and Susan regarding their stay. Many promised to return. The location of their place is great as it is very quiet and off the main streets yet close enough to commute to any place one might wish to go within a few minutes. Breakfast is good and if a guest needs to depart early for a tour excursion Ate Susan makes sure they guests are fed and ready to meet there tour van for pick up at their place. We also spent our Christmas Holiday there and were had a wonderful Holiday dinner prepared by Susan. She is a great cook. I could go on and on, but anyone considering Puerto should look closely at staying at Ad & Susan's Green House!

    Response from Susan:

Edna and Troy, thank you very much for staying here. Yes, 3 months is a long time, but it's also been nice 3 months. In those three months, you have got to know each other better, and you also get to know other persons. Individuals who are out there to make your life unpleasant. But fortunately you stand also above these personalities. Edna you're a sweet woman and Troy you're a great guy.
Please be cautious and god bless you both.

    Best regards,

    Susan and Ad

  • My stay at the Green House was fantastic. Not only did Susan and Ad help me book my trips (three in all), they provided me a lot of advice during my stay, always checked in with me to see how things were going, and even made some really tasty snacks to share Filipino cuisine with me (the mango shake was simply amazing). I felt really comfortable and safe getting around based on their advice, and it was lovely to have someone pick me up at the airport and make me feel so welcome. I heartily give my recommendation to anyone considering staying at the Green House.

  • I've been at Ad's place for 2 nights.
I'm travelling and the surrounding is just peacefull to be on your own. There's no traffic nothing. If you take a 2 minute walk around the corner you'll find lots of tricycles already who can being you to the main street of Puerto.
The rooms a really nice and cleaned. They remind me of an American Hostel you see in movies a good one.
These people take you in and walk you out if you go for a walk or excursion.
The breakfast is "normaal" egg and toast BUT. The eggs are perfect. Second day I got an egg filled with veggies it was I think the best breakfast for me in Philippines up until now. Second day i asked for diner also.
They cooked me the best fish I've had with a sweet and sour sauce. They told me its the favourite fish for the Chinese.
They arranged me an Island hopping tour and a ride to El nido last minute without a problem. I'll move back from El Nido to Puerto in a week. And Ad already arranged me a trip to the underground rivers where monkey's live. I'll stay at his place for another 2 nights before I leave back home again.
For me the money was worth it. If you go with two people it's even more than worth it. Owyeah you'll even get picked up from the airport. I gave the guy a few peso's and he drove me around a little bit before we went to the house.
    Food is good !!
    Room is good !!
    Service is good !!
    My laundry smelled amazing !!
They do everthing for you without a blink !!
I walked away a happy man and I'll check in for 2 nights as a happy man.

  • Susan was so kind to meet us at the airport with a smile and the breakfast really does set you up for the day. The room is as advertised - clean and a good size. Its a good stopping place for visitors and we hope to stay again.

Both Susan and Ad are friendly hosts who welcome you into their home. I highly recommend a stay in their abode.

  • We were met by Susan at the airport, and from there, both Susan and Ad were extremely helpful; Susan booked us an island hopping tour, and transfer to El Nido.
The accommodation was clean, (there was no hot water in the shower), breakfast was good. The laundry service was great and very cheap!
One of the best things was the personal touch, every day when we left to go somewhere, Ad or Susan would walk us out and wish us well, and to take care, like a parent might!

  • We ended up staying here for longer than planned as Susan and Ad we were so helpful and made us feel so at home. They went above and beyond to help us with everything and provided us with a fantastic breakfast every morning. The room was as great and in a perfect location for us as it was a bit quieter than the city centre and only cost 50 pesos Max to get into town. It was a really enjoyable stay with Susan and Ad and we hope to go back and visit them again one day.

  • When I tried to find place where to stay in Puerto Princesa, I read good reviews about Green House and decided to try. Now I can say like other guests - very nice place to stay! Ad met us at airport, Susan made us delicious dinner. They also helped with information and good advices about Philippines.
    They are the best!

  • Overall, this was an excellent bargain for the money. The location is good, the apartment spacious, and the host, Susan is extremely reliable and responsive.

She helps me booked a tour in Puerto Prinsesa (Underground River Tour, Honda Bay Tour), also let us use their kitchen for us to cook food.

The breakfast they serve is superb! we love the taste and also how they prepared it. Susan even gave us snacks so we wont get starve on our way to tours. Highly recommend place. Near to the airport. there is a beach near the place and it only cost 25 pesos.

We will definitely go back here we ae 9 pax and all satisfied. thanks Ma'am Susan and Ad. - Ryan

  • Wonderful Host. Arrived at the Green House and it was huge. The place can be easily reached by tricycle within 10 mins from the Airport. Room is clean, bed is firm. Air-conditioned. The keychain given is equipped with a torchlight, very useful.

Even before my trip, Susan helped me in arranging the transportation and accommodation in El Nido.

Upon arrival, Susan and Ad prepared dumplings as well as fresh mango juice, yummy!!. They even prepared lunch too.

Map of Puerto Princesa was given to me, Susan even drew me a simplified map of the attractions location for easy reference. Ad then showed me the room and explain the switches and things to note. Due to the Typhoon, there was heavy rain and could not really explored the area. Went back early and just chatted with the host and another guest from the Netherlands. Shared the Dutch's culture and food.

Did not fully enjoyed the place as I just stayed for a night but highly recommend for those who wish to stay over in Puerto Princesa. Will definitely be back.

    Thanks Susan and Ad.
