The house is amazing! It's located in a great spot, just a 2 min walk to the closest beach and a 5 min drive to Paia. The house is beautiful, with awesome views. We needed a spare air mattress and Laura was awesome and brought it over right away! The pool and hot tub are very well kept and a great addition to the property.
The only downside (which to us wasn't a big deal) was the house could use a thorough cleaning as there was lots of dust and cobwebs.
Everything else about this property is pretty outstanding! Thank you!
We had the most amazing time at this oceanfront property in Paia and plan on returning! The house was exactly what we needed and Laura was the perfect host. The property is a spacious 4 bedroom, 2 story beach house with 2 kitchens, which was perfect for 5 adults. The views of the ocean were breathtaking and it doesn't get much better than falling asleep to the sound of the crashing waves. Paia is a great little town with plenty of restaurants and cute shops and just a couple minutes from the house. You can also get to the south and west side of the island in less than an hour. The house is fully stocked with pots & pans, dinnerware, filtered water, towels, linens, beach chairs, beach towels and more. Laura and the cleaning staff checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. They were so kind and hospitable and made our stay well worth it!
Pros: quiet location, away from the busy tourist areas of Maui. The property is relatively private. Wifi works great.
Cons: not well cleaned. The upper shelves in the bedroom were filthy, the bedside lamp in the bedroom was so dirty you did not want to touch it ( we cleaned both the shelves and lamp ourselves). There was a cockroach in the kitchen glass cabinet. It is a tropical destination I understand, but obviously if the place is cleaned well enough this should have been caught. Shower curtain could be changed and bed sheets seemed worn and old and stained. Towels also looked worn and cheap. Kitchen could have been better stocked.
The Hibiscus sweet is a beautiful place to stay and exactly like the photos.
Overlooks a stunning bay with some great surf - perfect for watching sunsets! We hope to return soon.
The Hibiscus Suite was private, well-designed, and a few steps from the ocean. We heard people walking around upstairs, but generally we didn't run into anyone else on the property the entire time we were there, making it feel even more private. The constant sound of waves hitting the rocks below was completely soothing and we actually stayed in one entire day to enjoy the environment. There is no direct beach access from the property, so keep that in mind if you're expected to go swimming/snorking/surfing. For all the great things that the Hibiscus Suite offers, we were underwhelmed by the cleanliness when we arrived as well as the limited staples available in the kitchen. The towels and bedding were clean, but the kitchen and bathroom needed to be wiped down. The kitchen didn't have a baking sheet so we made the last bit of aluminum foil stretch the entire week. There was only a small amount of olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic salt available in the pantry. All in all, these are all things that can be fixed and easily overlooked, but for the price we expected the suite to be cleaner and the kitchen to be better stocked. Overall, it was an amazing trip and I'd recommend the Hibiscus Suite to those looking for a non-standard place (its not part of a large condo complex) during their trip, as we were. The short distance to Paia was a definite plus!
An absolute gem of a place. Initially my boyfriend was surprised by the reality of the place in contrast to the pictures and didn't realise that we didn't have direct access to the beach from the front of the property. That was very quickly forgotten though. The Hibiscus Suite is adorable, well set up, perfectly located (Paia is adorable) and the perfect self-catered residence you could wish for. We were there 11 nights and were very sad to leave. I was worried that we'd have internet issues but even with four of us constantly checking emails, we didn't have one issue. The two tiny issues we had (locked laundry door and end of gas for the cooker) were taken care of happily by the property managers in a matter of minutes. The pool is lovely and the surrounding beaches are fabulous. I would recommend to anyone to visit this property and warn that it's very difficult to leave. Thank you!!!
The reservation was canceled 93 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Truly lives up to its photos. Four of us had a great time, often opting to just hang out on the Lanai for the afternoons. Ron and Lia were very helpful with everything and would recommend in a heartbeat.
The view is amazing and you have everything needed to make your stay comfortable. Loved using the grill for relaxing dinners staring out at the ocean sunset.
Two minute walk from a small beach and 20 minute walk (5 min drive) into downtown Paia (food, shops, beaches). Any location on the island is within a 2 hour drive which including a lot of interesting hikes/day trips within a 45 minute drive down the scenic Hana Hwy.
Only cons are that the internet connection wasn't totally reliable in all areas of the suite. But who wants to stay too long in Maui anyways?
We truly enjoyed our seven day stay in the Hibiscus Suite. Thanks for being such a great host!
The cottage is beautiful and the ocean and mountain views are breathtaking! We really enjoyed the on-site pool and hot tub.
We did manage to have breakfast and enjoy the sunsets at dinner on the bluff most of the time. The cottage is also very close to great restaurants and shops in the Paia town.
Everything was perfect. We look forward to visiting again in the future.
Thanks again for making our trip a memorable one!
