Come enjoy some of the most stunning countryside views from our authentic Texas ranch. Our custom, newly remodeled Homestead sits on top of one of the highest hills in Hood County and provides a modern, western feel with great amenities such as a heated pool, a fire pit, a game pit (putting green, cornhole and horseshoes), and a covered outdoor kitchen. You will find yourself feeling rejuvenated as the sun rises and sets over the most charming Texas landscapes in the DFW area.
The space
Located an hour outside of DFW, our ranch-style Homestead is uniquely situated on top of one of the highest hills in the area and is the perfect place for a weekend retreat, a family reunion, or a group of friends looking to escape the city.
The newly remodeled ranch-style house is 6000 sq. ft. with 6 bedrooms/6 bathrooms and can sleep 18 people. Each bedroom is equipped with a flatscreen TV. The house is very spacious with a large living room and dining room, a bar room, and a billiards room. You will have access to the 3-acre yard which includes a swimming pool (heated upon request for an addition $150/day), a covered outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, a 9-hole putting green, two cornhole boards, and two horseshoe pits.
We encourage our guests to relax, take in the sounds of nature, and enjoy the peaceful, quiet setting as you lounge by our pool. We provide pool towels and a limited number of pool floaties for our guests.
Plenty of parking is available in the driveway and around the yard.
If you need something from town, the property is a 15-minute drive to the nearest small town, Lipan. Here you will find a gas station, a Dollar General, a bakery (hours vary), and a pizzeria (hours vary). In the opposite direction, within a 15-minute drive, you will find a Mexican restaurant called Garcia’s. Granbury is a 25-minute drive and Weatherford is a 30-minute drive, both of which you can find many restaurants and shops.
The ranch is rurally located, so we encourage you to bring food and groceries so that you can enjoy your time on the property without having to drive to town.
We offer additional activities on our ranch for an ADDITIONAL price, upon request. These activities include: fishing, bicycle trail riding, and a shooting range.
We're very willing to accommodate events or other requests such as birthday parties, weddings, meetings, or corporate events. All events will be priced in addition to the nightly rate and details (number of guests, length of stay, etc.) will determine the event fee. Please send over any details you have when making an inquiry. ALL PARTIES AND EVENTS must be approved by us before booking. The maximum number of guests allowed at the house is 18 unless otherwise approved. If you are looking to book any event for more than 18 people, please contact us for more information about pricing.
Our property is an operating ranch and located in nature, so you can expect to find all types of creepy crawlies. Make sure you pack bug spray and appropriate shoes if you plan on spending time outside walking around.
We do have barns and farm animals at our Farmhouse which is in a separate yard from the Homestead yard. THIS AREA IS OFF-LIMITS TO OUR GUESTS. Guests are encouraged to request additional information if you desire to have walking access at our ranch.
We have an additional house - the Casita- that is in the same yard as this house. It can be rented for an additional 2-4 guests. So the entire yard can sleep 20-22 guests. If you are interested in this, please message us for more information on how to book our Casita.

Guest access
You will have access to the Homestead house, pool area, outdoor kitchen area, and game pit area. You will NOT have access to any other houses, barns, garages, or buildings on the property. If you wish to have additional walking access outside of the yard, please request more information upon booking.
Other things to note
Pool Maintenance & Safety
Our pool is professionally cleaned every Monday and Friday morning. For your safety, please note that the pool will be closed for 3 hours after each cleaning. If you’d prefer to skip a scheduled cleaning during your stay, just let us know at least one week in advance. Guests are responsible for supervising children at all times around the pool, and glass is strictly prohibited in the pool area.
Property Activity
Please be aware that our ranchhands may be working around the property on weekdays and Saturdays. We do our best to ensure minimal disruption during your stay.
Firewood
We provide enough firewood for one-time use at the firepits. If you plan to enjoy more fires, feel free to bring additional firewood with you.
