This modern/vintage east side downtown home is fully remodeled and within walking distance to some of the hottest bars, restaurants, events, grocery stores, UT and yoga studios of Austin. Stunning kitchen and back yard with view of downtown Austin.
We have worked for months remodeling this amazing 1930s home and it is 100% redone on the inside, yet still retaining the 30’s charm with the original hard wood flooring, dining light fixture and paneled walls. It is truly a stunning home with a modern/vintage feel and open living space. Navasota house is completely furnished with absolutely everything you would need for a comfortable weekend or even a month’s stay. From a fully stocked kitchen to shampoo/conditioner dispensers, hairdryer and even Q-tips in the bathrooms, this home has it all.
The home has a massive master bedroom with a luxurious king size bed and french that open up to the back deck and garden with an amazing view of downtown Austin. The master bath hosts a dual vanity with a large soaking tub and a crisp clean feel that makes for a relaxing evening with lit candles.
The 2nd bedroom still has the original ‘school room’ windows that are lightly shaded by our trees in the front yard. The queen size memory foam mattress makes for an amazing night’s rest.
The sunny back studio is a quiet oasis for up to 4 people to sleep. With wood flooring, an armoire, full AC/Heat, two full beds and a large desk and computer space (don’t forget the WiFi) it’s a private and wonderful space.
Note: The studio is detached from the main house and does not have it's own bathroom.
The modern and bright kitchen will surely be the desired gathering place on your vacation. With four comfortable white chairs pulled up to the grey quartz breakfast bar, edison pendant lights, and a gorgeous cedar wood back splash this kitchen is anything but ordinary. Did we mention the view of downtown you’ll have from the kitchen sink?
The picnic style dining table also makes for a great place to gather for dinner, or play cards late into the night. The original dining light is a fun and unique addition to the home.
If you choose to spend most of your time in the private fenced back yard there is room for everyone. With a view of downtown and lights strung from the trees above you this is where you might spend much of your time. There is a patio dining table, seating for 8 there, a lighted umbrella for shade, and a grill for the chef of the group to cook up amazing Austin style BBQ. The back deck is truly an entertaining space.
We also have a small yard and garden for people to enjoy and adds a sense of serenity to the space. You'll feel like you’re anywhere but in a large city!
We can't wait for you to experience the Navasota House.
Feel free to use our BBQ, Guest House Studio, Garden, etc. The only thing that will be locked is our small storage space.

Stunning view of downtown, quiet and quirky East Side neighborhood, walking distance to groceries, great restaurants, bars, yoga, events, UT, liquor store, Rainey Street and all that downtown has to offer. World famous Franklin BBQ is just around the corner!
We also created a 4 page list of all our favorite restaurants/bars and things to do in Austin. It took a lot of brainstorming but we wanted to share the best of the best with you! You'll find this list on the counter at the house, and feel free to take a copy with you!
And to add to the quirky-ness of this East side home you might just be lucky enough to meet our iconic neighbor, Miss Thomas. Feel free to chat for hours or cut her off. She does love Coors Light.

The Navasota house is awesome. We had 8 girls and everyone slept comfortably. The house was very clean and the linens/towels were super soft. The house is centrally located to a lot of great places, just a short Uber/Lyft ride. It was our first time to Austin but should we come back we would definitely stay at the Navasota house again.
The house is beautiful, very centrally located. I would love to stay again in my future Austin visits.
This home was fabulous! Very clean upon arrival and easy to check-in to, etc. Isaac was available via text for any questions at any time. Great location. You can walk about three blocks to a bunch of restaurants and is a cheap uber/lyft ride away from downtown. We did walk to downtown one day and it wasn't that far. Great decor and plenty of space.
Our experience in this house was awesome! Exactly what we were looking for. Clean, comfortable, beautifully furnished, great amenities and close to great Austin hotspots. We also could not get enough of the lovely patio, being from New York and desperately needing some Texas sun. Isaac was a very diligent host and was quick to respond to any of our inquiries. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone traveling in Austin.
This is the dream airbnb location. The house is so neat and quaint, pretty much exactly as pictured. It's both cozy and spacious at the same time and the perfect place to return to after a long day. My main concern staying anywhere is the kitchen for cooking food, but they had very modern appliances and a fully stocked space. So comfortable, would definitely stay here again. Vacation home that I wish was my home!
Stayed here with a group of 8 girls to celebrate my friend's bachelorette and everyone raved about how delightful the home was! We all fit comfortably in the beds and there was still plenty of space to gather in the communal area. The house looks just as it does in the pictures and the description of the home was very accurate. The curb appeal of the neighborhood did make us feel slightly nervous upon our arrival but once inside we found the aura of the home to be very warm and safe. I really liked that its centrally located to everything you need (walking distance to grocery store) and only a short cab ride to downtown Austin. It was all of our first time visiting Austin so the notebook filled with Isaac's suggestions certainly came in handy for us. Isaac was wonderful and easy to get in touch with throughout the whole booking process. My friends and I all agreed we would definitely stay here again next time we're in Austin!
Isaac is a great host. The description was accurate; and, there were even a few pleasant surprises. There is a lot of light that pours into the home; however, he has a thermostat that warms the house very quickly. You can easily find your way around. Just a great place, I recommend to anyone.

I am beyond excited to share my gorgeous 1930’s home with you!
In case you’re curious, a little bit about me:
I am originally from WY but have lived in many places over the years. I now call lovely Austin my home for a little over a year. Besides some warm summers, there is not much to complain about. I love this city!
You can often find me out and about exploring and being active. I enjoy biking the 10 mile trail around downtown, town lake/lady bird lake or hiking and getting lost in the massive green belt just west of town. I also enjoy wake boarding at Lake Austin and Lake Travis!
It is rare that you will find me cooking at home. All my favorite things to eat (pizza, breakfast tacos, BBQ, tex mex and beer) are within walking distance to Navasota house!
There are just so many great restaurants and things to do in Austin, I’ll probably never be able to get to all of them, but I think I'm off to a great start.
I also love to travel. I have lived in seven states and short stays abroad in Costa Rica and Sweden. I have visited 35 countries as well over the years. I live for adventure and meeting new people wherever I go. I think Austin has some of the friendliest and most interesting people to meet!
I am so excited to share my love of this Navasota home, its fabulous location and our amazing city with you. I even printed out a binder that stays at the house and has all my favorite restaurants/bars and things to do all typed out. There are copies for you to take since I know recommendations can make all the difference when visiting a new city! I want people to experience what I have been lucky enough to experience so far in Austin and truly believe this home and it’s location are the best here in Austin.
Have fun, travel safe and keep it weird :)
