About This Listing
Elegance and essentiality are the main characteristics of the apartment that will enable you to spend a wonderful relaxing vacation in Venice.
Located in the sestiere of "Castello", in a characteristic building of the early XVIII century, the apartment is on the mezzanine and is located in a privileged position: in the heart of Venice with its small stores where the direct contact with the customer is considered of paramount importance. The breathtaking vista from the apartment is the characteristic venetian channel with its small typical Venetian boats: the gondolas. The apartment consists of a roomy living room with kitchen and davenport, a double bedroom, a room for closets and a restroom. Elegance and essentiality are the main characteristics of the apartment that will enable you to spend a wonderful relaxing vacation in Venice. The apartment is equipped with TV; radio, DVD player, Mp3, iPod, iPhone, washing machine and dryer, combined oven, air conditioning, heating system, toaster, espresso coffee machine, electric squeezer, hairdryer and any other accessory you may need.
The apartment is located in the heart of Castello, the Venetian Sestriere that is considered the most colorful. This area, full of taste of the past, with stores and bars where Venetians hang around and the liveliness of campo Bandiera and Moro, will lead you into the real Venetian life. From here you can visit the Bienalle Gardens, the Arsenale, San Giorgio degli Schiavoni and the Chiesa della Pietà , the chiesa di San Zaccaria and San Francesco della Vigna. In 10 minutes you can walk to the Bridge of Whispers, St. Mark's Square with its majestic Basilica and the historical Doge's Palace. In 20 minutes you can reach the Rialto Bridge and its famous fish market, the Grand Canal and the Chiesa dei Frari. After passing the whole day in the calles, around museums and stores, we suggest you to go back to the apartment through Riva degli Schiavoni, in order to admire the Venetian Laguna during sunset. Close by you find the direct ferry connection to: St. Mark's Square, Marco Polo Airport, piazzale Roma, Santa Lucia train station. The closest ferry stop is: Arsenale.
Curiosity: around 1930 and for more or less 50 years, the building host an ancient "osteria" "alla rivetta" where "ombre" (wine glasses) and "cicchetti" (various appetizers) were served. In more recent years there was a small restaurant where mostly venetians went.

Lovely location, especially if you are interested in going to the biennale. Great surrounding if your interested in more of the real and authentic Venetian holiday. The only issue I would say is the access for water taxis because it can be quite a mission to convince them to come. Overall, we had a wonderful time with this place due to its proximity to San Marco and its cleanliness.
The apartment was really nice with great views. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is located walking distance to Piazza San Marco and very close to the vaporetto stop. Awesome hot water and great bed. David picked us up as promised ( from the vaporetto stop ) and gave us all necessary information. Overall a very good experience.
Innanzitutto l'accesso all'appartamento.
We had a great time at Venice! The house was very comfortable and well located! Wonderful view!
We had the most wonderful time staying at this beautiful and cosy Venetian apartment. Being right on a canal in a quieter, less touristy part of the island really added to our experience and the short walk to Arsenale ferry stop/the action was perfect. We stumbled upon some fantastic little restaurants in the neighbourhood and enjoyed returning 'home' during the day to recharge. We hope to visit again. Grazie mille!
Tastefully furnished apartment with modern equipment in a quiet area with a great view onto a canal. Many interesting sites in walking distance. A really nice and convenient spot! Communication with Faville was quick and easy, we were able to book with only one day notice! Also, special thanks for the opportunity of a late check-out. Overall, a great experience, only a few downsides: the cleaning fee of € 115 was a bit hefty for a two-day visit, in particular when finding a slice of pizza from previous guests still in the oven! Some mould in the bathroom and a lamp in the living room not working. Without these flaws the place would be perfect, even with them still worth a recommendation!
