The apartment is in a great location and is exactly as described in the photos. It's large and spacious. It's easy to find.
Unfortunately Caroline was away when we visited and we had few issues with cleanliness. We also had issues with the extreme heat as windows and shutters had been left open during the daytime before we arrived so the apartment had heated up. Without air conditioning we had to find alternative accommodation.
Caroline was responsive and polite in dealing with it and refunded us one of the four nights we had booked.
A few tips that might be useful for others - we were only provided with one large towel so it might be helpful to take another; we found the bed sheets quite stiff and scratchy (though they're cotton & from IKEA) it might be advisable to take a better quality sheet if you're fussy about these things. If you have a baby (as we do) and its high summer I would not recommend staying here because of the heat and there was also quite a bit of noise from the street until about 11pm.
If Katherine had read the description of the apartment on the site, she would have known that there was no air-conditioning, only a fan. Avignon is in South of France and it is very hot in summer. That is obvious. Katherine is the first person, in three years, to criticize sheets (Cotton percale of Olivier Desforges and not Ikéa). Every person receives a towel, even the baby. Maybe to show its bad mood, Katherine left the dirty apartment, the full trash can. I make what I can to welcome at best the guests (Cf: other comments), but I am not God, and cannot make nothing for the heat. Katherine will have to inquire on condition climatic before choosing a destination.
We stayed during the crowded Festival and after. The apartment was as expected from the description: clean, fully equipped, perfectly located at the heart of the city, enabling us to enjoy the lively atmosphere of Avignon.
Parking in the old city was a nightmare, but we followed the wise advise of Caroline and parked (free, with free and frequent shuttle bus service) in île de Piot.
We had quick access to basic facilities: a wide offer of nice restaurants, a Carrefour City and all kinds of shops a couple of minutes walking.
The apartment is exactly same as the pictures, it is very cosy. Caroline concerns us very much. It is the hottest period during our stay, she provided us a fan. Thank you so much, Caroline
Located within Avignon city centre, 3 min walk to the main shopping street at Rue de la Republique, works great as a base to explore Provence/Luberon region as many day tours do pick ups there. It is also easy to get to the apartment from the train station or to explore around the city centre, with many dining options all around. The apartment is clean and well furnished but tends to heat up alot in the hot summer day. There's only 1 fan to use so the person sleeping in the living room will not have the fan. Caroline was also easy to communicate with and she replies quickly. Definitely staying here again if I'm visiting in future.
Caroline is very good host!
we have a pleasant stay in her place and the place is clean, spacious and well equipped!
definitely a good place to stay!
