Elisabeth's room and house are fantastic! The owners are very nice and friendly. We stayed in the small room with a bunk bed. It has a great big window, and the beds are comfy. We weren't at the house for very many hours over the weekend because we were out and about, but the view was spectacular! I took so many pictures of the view from the house overlooking the city. A bit of a walk from the city center, but it's worth it for the price and friendly atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.

my friend and i loved our stay at Elisabeth's house. the home is lovely and she is very welcoming. she responded quickly to all our questions, provided arrival details, and even hung my laundry on a drying rack while we were away seeing Bergen. our little bunk room was perfect for 2 and the 1.5 bathrooms makes it very convenient if there are other guests staying in other rooms. she runs a very organized and clean house with specific baskets for our food in the fridge - we enjoyed eating outside on the porch. the house is a little bit of a walk to town, but every time we loved the views and interesting homes on the hill. we also took advantage of being near trails and hiked our way to the same lookout that the funicular takes you to. it was very memorable. i would stay here again. i would mention that after getting off the #11 bus, walk down hill to the big bellevue building. directly across from it, look for the "bellevuebakken" street sign & walk up the tiny steep road. keep to the right and look for the house that matches the photos on airbnb. it's easily visible from the fork in the road.

I slept in the small but lovely room for one night. Elizabeth and her husband were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. In the dining room you can find a piano and a rather interesting instrument that you have to try out. Fortunately, I was allowed to play the piano too. That was the thing that made my whole stay perfect. The view is great, especially from the bathroom and the room is comfortable.I recommend you to take the little road up to get the best views of Bergen. The only thing that could be a problem is that it takes you 20 minutes uphill to get to the house. But that was no problem for me and there is a bus that you can take. Would definitely come again!

Elizabeth's place is nice and she is a great host. Communication was quick and easy. Her house is about 20 mins walking from the center. A bit uphill, but it's a nice workout. The room was small but clean and nice. No key on the room door but the house is quiet and safe, privacy is assured. Oh, and the bathroom has the best view in town! ;)

We were met and welcomed by Elizabeth's husband. He showed us round the accommodation and provided us with some useful local information. The house is in a lovely location overlooking Bergen - about 15 minutes walk from the centre. Our room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean and we were also given access to the kitchen to make cups of complementary tea or coffee. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My husband and I have lived in this house in 20 years and we have done most of the restoration ourselves. Magnar is an artist and I am an arthistorian. We like to travel and have travelled a lot since the seventies. We mostly stay in privat houses and like to get to know and see how people are living around the world.
