The space
Our home is a perfect and comfortable stay for solo travelers, couples, or a small, relaxing get-together with family and friends, and can also accommodate those working guests.

INDOOR SPACE:

You’ll walk into a clean, welcoming home with many amenities to make your stay complete.

The main floor has a well-stocked kitchen that is sure to make you feel right at home. Plenty of cookware and essentials are provided for guests who enjoy creating their own meals. There’s seating for two at the cozy pub-style table, perfect for a quick bite or morning coffee. The dining room offers a table for mealtime, conversation, or playing games.
The living room has comfortable seating for up to seven guests — a full couch and loveseat and also two swivel chairs situated in front of the electric fireplace — making the space great to relax, watch TV or simply enjoy each other’s company.
Also on the main floor are two comfortable bedrooms, as well as the bathroom.
Upstairs, you will find two more spacious bedrooms.

OUTSIDE SPACE OUTBACK:

***Weather permitting & as early as May - November — both a fire pit & grill are available.***

18” Weber charcoal grill and lighter fluid are provided.
If you would like to use the grill any other time, please just ask. ***Charcoal is not provided***

A fire pit is available with plenty of chairs. Enjoy a nice, peaceful evening sitting out back around the fire. Relax & take in the stillness of the night under the big country sky as you stargaze.
Firewood is available.

Roasting sticks & pie irons are available for roasting those hotdogs/marshmallows & making those mountain pies.

Dine at the picnic table with umbrella or unwind on the porch taking in the sights and sounds of nature with your morning coffee. Relax in the swing and soak up the surrounding peacefulness.

***Upon booking, I am usually quick to reply. Sometimes I might have a few quick questions for you, so if you could hang around a bit, it would make things easier for both you and me.***

---To help protect the original & refinished 1946 hardwood floors that are throughout the house, we respectfully request guests to remove their shoes upon entering into the dining room. You will find that the floors do creak and make crackling noises.

---The 2 upstairs bedrooms will be cooler, (fall/winter) as there is only one heating vent in the farthest room. For your comfort and ambience, we have provided an electric fireplace that can be plugged into the designated outlets in either room. We have insulated to the best of our ability.

---Ceilings are low upstairs, if you are taller than 6’ 4”, walking around can be a little challenging with standing up straight.

---During the summer months, all 4 bedrooms have AC window units to help keep you cool and comfortable during your relaxing, country getaway.

---Cell phone service can be limited at times here in the valley.
Windstream Fiberoptic WIFI is provided.

---We are striving towards being eco-friendly and recycling. Outside metal/plastic cans are clearly marked.

•• In spring, peep frogs peeping...those little peepers let us know that Spring has sprung.

••Early summer mornings, birds will be chirping their hearts out as you enjoy your morning coffee on the porch. Fawns should be “spotted” and night time~~ fire flies/lightening bugs will be flashing.

••Mid to late August, the evenings are filled with crickets and tree frogs as they make themselves known, creating a soothing symphony as the night settles in.

••In September, the view across the hillside and surrounding property will be blanketed with goldenrod adding a golden glow to the scenery.

••In October, the leaves will transform into brilliant hues of red, orange and gold creating a stunning backdrop for your stay. As night falls and the air turns crisp, gather around the outdoor fire pit to stay warm while soaking in the serenity of the autumn season.

••Winter is the perfect time to getaway, relax and enjoy some quiet time. Take in the scenic snow-covered views from indoors while sipping your favorite hot beverage.

••All year long, you can enjoy deer as they can be seen grazing on the property and in the surrounding area.

•The spring water that feeds the house can run low with dry summers. So please be sure our home is and will be a good fit for you upon booking & during your stay.

***If you decide to take a walk along the road, please be cautious, as cars sometimes tend to travel faster than expected.
