We live in a safe community close to public transportation and major freeways, but not so close that you can actually hear them. We welcome you into our home and try our best to provide a nice warm family setting. We provide a home away from home.
I have a really nice room in a quiet neighborhood that is 10 mins. away from the major freeways. Easy access to public transit, light rail and the train/bus station. It's in a nice Mobilehome Park. The home is a manufactured home. Not a trailer or one of the older mobilehomes with paneling and such.
We have a hallway bathroom across the way from our two Airbnb rooms. It's a shared bath, but so far no one has had any issues, as everyone's schedule is so varied.
We have wireless internet. We have an average of 19 ping 58.49 download speed and 11.14 upload speed. We bought our own modem and router since Comcast/xfinity just wasn't cutting it in terms of their modem. We know how important internet access is to our guests. If your laptop doesn't have a wireless card, we can provide you with an Ethernet cable for a wired connection. We have an average of 19 ping 58.49 download speed and 11.14 upload speed. We have our own modem and router as Comcast/Xfinity just wasn't doing the job. We know how important internet access is to our guests. We just recently cancelled out cable service. Most people don't watch TV while they stay with us. So, we kept the internet and got rid of the cable.
You can do your laundry here and if you would like to cook something, you are welcome to make use of the kitchen. If you need room in the fridge, I will gladly accommodate you as well as provide you with cabinet space for what you need.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
The home is air conditioned, so nice and comfortable during California's hot Summer weather.
Due to the increase in the use of utilities, I've had to increase my room rate a little bit. Hopefully this is still affordable for everyone considering all that we offer our guests.
The kitchen and all that it offers. The laundry room. The dinning room area. Of course the guest bathroom. Please be mindful that we are going through an extreme drought in our area when showering or using the bathroom sink. Also if cooking or washing dishes in the kitchen, be mindful of just letting the water run. During the drought we are reserving watering all outside plants to once a week to help conserve water.
Interaction with Guests
We follow our guests lead when it comes to socializing. Some guests like to get to know us and sit down and have a meal. Some guest have a hectic schedule and come and go like if at a hotel, which in essence that is what we provide a home/hotel service. So, leave the interacting up to our guests, as this is their trip, their stay.
Our community is a safe environment and at night it is super quiet. You feel quite removed from the city even though you're not.
We have a bus stop right outside our community that takes you to the lightrail or the train station. Wherever you need to go.
No drunk and disorderly conduct please. I don't care how well you can handle your liquor, please don't get drunk in my home. In there is an issue, I need to be able to deal with you. No drug usage in the house. No loud music or loud television viewing please. Please be discreet and mindful during bedroom activity.;) If you smoke please do so outside. Don't leave the front or back door open wide while smoking or stepping outside. Please always remember to take your housekey when leaving as we may not always be able to let you back in the house. Always remember to lock the front door when leaving and when returning to the house. An unlocked door is a safety concern. If you have a sensitivity to noise or particular hours that you keep, please communicate that to us. Advisable to bring earplugs, because although we aren't living in a noisy area, you will be in a home with other people that keep different hours and it may not be the silence you are seeking. It is however not a noisy home.
Maria and her daughter greeted me when I arrived at their place, and were very friendly and personable. The room was very neat and clean (small-sized) and there were lots of coat hangers in the closet. The home (a trailer in quite a large trailer park) was quiet, no problem sleeping, and I encountered 1 other guest who was low key and created no distractions. The guest bathroom - nice and clean - was right across the hall and there were no collisions in accessing it.
Guest parking is 100' or so away.
I would stay there again, no hesitation. Thanks Maria!
Thank you Andy for the great review! Our place is actually a manufactured home. A trailer is the sort of place you can hitch up to a truck and pull out. A lot people make this mistake and it's okay. We live in a nice mobile home park. Trailer parks tend to be run down looking and the people that live in them aren't normally the kind of people you would want to be around for very long. We live in a nice, safe community.
My mom and I had a very nice week with Maria, who are very kind.
We felt like our own home. The room is very comfortable and the house it's in very nice place and very well located.
Thanks for your hospitality.
My gf and I stayed for about a week and a half at Maria's. The place is nice and we were mostly in and out because of work and errands. The room in particular is clean and has a comfortable bed, which fairs better than most of other places its price range. Please bear in mind that there is only one bathroom and that it is shared so allow yourself some flexibility in that department when staying here. Also noise travels rather easily, so if you're a loud person and wish to stay be sure to make an extra effort to muffle yourself--especially at night.
Adam and Ada were great. I just want to clarify something. There are two bathrooms in the house. The hallway bathroom is used by the guests using the two rooms that are listed on Airbnb. Usually not an issue. Putting a towel under the door helps with noise but the walls aren't well insulated, so listening to music or the tv loudly is not encouraged as it easily disturbs other guests. Same as being loud in the room. You need to be aware what time it is and make certain that you aren't disturbing anyone.
Maria's bedroom was nice. Bathroom was super clean and easy to access. Only thing for me is that her family was talking late until 12 - 1 AM .. and I could not sleep.
Another disclosure she should put is that this shared bedroom is in a mobile home.
The pictures show that it is a mobilehome, if you look at all of them. Also, if we were keeping you up, you should have said something. A friend of ours was visiting and I wasn't aware that we were keeping you up. You communicate your needs and it is taken care of. I'm glad you liked the bedroom and how clean the bathroom is.
Maria was an excellent host, and made me feel very comfortable in her home. It was quiet, clean, and inviting, but I would advise you to bring earplugs, as she states, due to noise from the neighborhood, and other guests in the house. Overall, it was very positive. Thanks!
Maria and her family are really nice and easy going. A lot of the places in the house are labeled with short instructions so even if they are not at home, I can always find the things/places I need. The room and the bathroom are both very clean and well maintained.
A lovely place to stay! Maria was a great and super kind host, we enjoyed everything a lot!
Thank you for having us stay at your nice home!
