Cabin was exactly as pictured. Simple, beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We would absolutely rent it again.
We had a really great moment in Ellen's cabin. The cabin is really the same as you can see on the photo. A wonderful WE at only 2,5 hours of NYC. Windham Moutain is so closed to the cottage where you could skiing (15min). And the cabin, with the beautiful and large kitchen, and the wood burner is so nice. Ellen gave us all informations before coming. It couldn't be better and sure, we will come back. Thanks Ellen.
What a relaxing and peaceful place to stay! We really enjoyed our time at Ellen's cabin and can't wait to return!
My family and friends had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The location was perfect. Just a few miles from Windham Mountain. The house had everything we needed for adults and children. The bedrooms are comfy, clean and clean linens and towels are provided. We had a great time this past weekend here. Can't wait to go back this summer. Thank You Ellen!
We had such a great time staying at the log cabin. I organized a group of 9 to come up from NYC for a ski trip and thanks to this great find it couldn't have worked out better. The cabin is beautiful, warm and cozy. We had a great time cooking in the huge kitchen and sitting by the fire place. My guests are already bugging me to plan the next adventure. Ellen was an excellent host and very responsive. Thank you!
This cabin was fantastic! Our group of 8 stayed here for a ski weekend and found it to be the perfect getaway. Our only regret was we spent too much time skiing and left to little time to just chill out in the cabin! We're already planning a return trip.
We had a very comfortable winter stay at Ellen's beautiful log cabin. The cabin is charming and well-maintained in a secluded wooded area - complete with treehouse for the kids in the back! All of the supplies we needed were available in the cabin and it has plenty of space for us (4 adults, 3 kids) with a great 'bunkroom' for the kids. The hosts gave us clear instructions on how to operate anything we needed in the cabin, and were generous in offering their help when one of our cars was stuck in the snow.
The cabin is warm and nicely decorated. There is a wood-burning stove with plenty of cut firewood, a large kitchen with all necessary cooking tools, a piano, stereo, plenty of board games, books and toys for the kids and plenty of towels. It was a nice winter getaway and we look forward to seeing the cabin in the summer!
We love our cabin in the Catskills. It's hand built, not from a kit. We bought it from the man who built it. We built the kitchen and the bathroom. The style is rustic and minimal. You'll have complete privacy on 20 acres of secluded wooded property with a 4 acre clearing, a creek and a swimming hole. It's a magical, rejuvenating place and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
