About this listing
This extremely spacious, centrally located, 1 bedroom, 1 bath loft apartment with 1 queen-sized bed and 1 single bed, truly puts you in the middle of it all! Located on trendy Melrose Avenue, right in the middle of the shopping area that's full of vintage stores and fancy cafes and restaurants. Just a few blocks from Sunset Blvd, you'll be able to walk to all sorts of day- and nightlife, and yet still have the luxury and convenience of having your own space. This loft has a deliciously colorful & playful interior, a beautiful skylight in the bedroom, super comfy beds and your own fully equipped kitchen - and even a peek of the Hollywood sign!
It includes all linens and bedding, high-speed Internet, and amazing artwork! A great place for friends and families alike to take in the sights or go clubbing from...and to get a *real* feel of Hollywood! In a word, this place is just ridiculously FUN!
Check in time is after 3pm and check out time is at noon.
Please note, all sicks and toilet are in working order. If there is a blockage, you will be responsible for the repair. So please try not to stuff the toilet with toilet paper or feminine products and use the drain protectors for the sinks.
Much appreciated, Thanks
Angie is a great host. This place is super convenient to studios, shopping on Melrose, great restaurants, shows at Groundlings and a quick hop over to the Grove. The apartment is spacious and parking a few blocks over was convenient (which is important since Hollywood can be busy). The cartoon art was a really cool addition to the experience too.
When we had an issue with the wifi Angie emailed right away and got us back on track fast.
Overall, I did not have a good experience staying here. While it is in a very convenient location and there is a certain artsy-loft quality to the apartment, I would not rent here again unless some changes are made. Specifically, the temperature is excessively hot during the warmer months. There is no air conditioning, only one fan and poor air circulation due to limited windows. In the bedroom, there is an interesting large stain-glass window directly beside the main bed. This window does not lock and is open to an outer rooftop area accessible to other tenants, without providing any cool air. So, trendy, unsecured and no flow. Additionally, the sky light above the main bed casts an uncontrollably large amount of light directly on the bed forcing break of dawn wake ups.i literally stood on stacked furniture to cram a comforter into the sky light in order to block out the light. An unplugged lamp and side table were hastily placed by the second bed, without access to a wall socket. I counted 4 total roaches, in varying degrees of dying. So, while this is a kind of hip place in a convenient location, changes need to be made to address the aforementioned issues. For the record, I have traveled a fair amount, staying in all manner of places from outdoor backpacking in tents, to hostels, to boutique hotels and resorts.
We stranded in LA after our previous place to stay was cancelled. Eventually we decided to use airbnb and we found this appartment.
In the hurry, by accident, we hired for the next day but after calling the renter she told us the cleaner could only come tomorrow so we got the first night for free. Overall the appartment was spacious and we had everything we needed. Now and then we found dead cockroaches laying on the floor, but at least they were already dead when we found them. Everything worked well: the water, the wifi, the refridgerator etc so we really enjoyed the stay.
Great area, good space at the loft. Angie is very quick to respond and always helpful. Lots of small but thoughtful amenities throughout the apartment.
The place was very nice: well furnished, clean, not noisy. And it's in in a great location: there are a few restaurants in walking distance and more in 5 minutes driving.
Parking was easy only a block away and it felt like a safe area.
My friends and I had a very enjoyable stay at Angie's. The location was excellent. Close to shops and restaurants and to the Grove. We would definitely stay with Angie again when in LA. :)
I had the pleasure to stay in two different places hosted by Angie. I highly recommend her as the flats were really nice, very convenient, great design, very well located, The reality fitted exactly with the description, and Angie and her assistant Eleni were EXTREMELY helpful! If I come back to Los angeles, I will certainly try to book one her places! It was a real pleasure!
