*Hi there. Just to let any prospective bookers know, I am actually in the process of selling my flat. So good news, if you decide to stay, the cleaner will be in twice a week instead of the usual once ;) but I will be looking for extra considerate guests who don't mind potentially having strangers have a look around their bedroom/the flat, during their visit. Any questions or concerns, just message me! Thanks*
Double bedroom in a ground floor garden flat, one minutes walk from busy Upper Street, Islington. The flat has exposed brick walls, wooden floors and a fireplace. It has its own front door and private south facing back garden, so there's lots of natural light.
The bedroom has a small double bed (not king-size). There is a large kitchen and open plan living room, which you are very welcome to use. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower (no bath). I have a snow white cat called Apple who is extremely friendly and sweet. She is fluffy and indoor only so expect some cat hairs.
Bed linen, towels, hair dryer and GHD's with heat resistant mat are provided.
The flat is located halfway between Angel and Highbury & Islington stations. It's close to bars, restaurants, theatres, cafes, boutiques, gyms, yoga and pilates studios, art galleries, cinemas, pubs, live music, shopping centre, parks.
There is ample public transport: Buses, tubes, overground, cabs. It's 10 minutes on the tube to Oxford Circus, 12 minutes to Victoria station and Gatwick Express. 3 minutes on the tube to Kings Cross and Eurostar to Paris.
I work in Soho, usually 8-7 but always do my best to leave a bit late, get home a bit early so as to welcome you and give you a key
*Before booking please be aware that the flat is for sale so while you are staying here there may be some viewings including folks having a wander around your bedroom. I will of course try to give as much notice as possible.*
This is my home so please be quiet and respectful when you come in at night.
Please remove your shoes at the front door.
No guests apart from registered guests.
No smoking or lighting of candles.
Apple is an indoor cat so keep her away from windows and doors.
Pls close front door quietly out of respect for neighbours.
Please leave transparent blinds down in all rooms.
Leave kitchen clean and tidy, put dishes in the dishwasher.
Kitchen worksurface is solid wood so please do not put any hot mugs/plates or glasses down without using a coaster or placemat.
You're welcome to use the washing machine but pls supply your own powder.
No tumble drier but there's a heated plug-in clothes horse.
Just great, lovely flat just a minute from the best of islington, Jude is a great host and would stay again no problem.
It was just perfect !! Jude is a very nice host. I recommend her ! :)
Apple (her cat) is really cute and her flat very beautiful.
We stayed with Jude the second week of the London 2012 Olympics and enjoyed it a lot!
Unfortunately Jude had a major leakage in her appartement the week before we came and as all the floors had to be removed, she couldn't offer us the original room. But through a friend she arranged a different appartement just 1 street from her place and we got to stay there.
During our stay we were out a lot ofcourse, going to the Olympic events, but Jude was very friendly when we saw her. She helped us with our washing and brought us some nice croissants for Sunday breakfast.
In all : a very pleasent stay which we can recomment to everyone.

Hi, I love all things tech, design and architecture. I've hosted for a few years now first in London and then in Dublin where I'm from originally. I love seeing guests enjoy my home and will always be happy to help with your stay.
