A great apartment in a great location! The altrano is by far and away the best bet to have an authentic florentine experience. My only gripe is that their were not sheets left for the pull-out and no mention of the 20euro fee for arriving past 8:30pm on the airbnb apartment details (only in a private message). Other than that--easy to navigate, near attractions, and with all necessities for a week away from home!
Great apartment, great value in a lovely part of Florence, a bit off the beaten path. The place is well stocked with everything you need for a stay in Florence. I would say the pics do not do the place justice, as I was expecting something smaller and darker. It had plenty of room and the windows open up to nice sunlight. The piazza just down the street is really lovely and has a great cafe and truly the best gelato I have ever tasted (and I have tasted a lot). I highly recommend this apartment! Also, it was easy communicating with Patrizia and her assistant Alessandra. The whole process was very smooth.
We sent a text to Patricia's associate Francesca when we were getting into a taxi at the airport, and she and Alessandra met us at the apartment when we got there. They were very friendly and helpful and the apartment, while small, was everything we could've needed. Exactly as the pictures show except that I think the bed was a little bigger than I expected from the picture. The location of the apartment could not be better. It's seconds from Piazza della Passera, home to the best gelato I have ever had and the most delightful little vegetarian and organic restaurant called 5 e Cinque. It's a hop, skip and a jump from the Ponte Vecchio and all of the tourist sites in one direction, and the Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens in the other. If I ever go back to Florence (unfortunately the boar by the market says I won't!!), I will definitely book Patrizia's apartment again.
We were thrilled with the location of this apartment. It's just a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio, only half a block from Piazza dells Passera with its wonderful gelato, bars and trattorias, close to groceries and an easy walk to everything else. We also appreciated the air conditioning that kept us comfortable in miserably hot weather, the washing machine and the wonderful shower. The room was nicely decorated but much more cramped than we expected. Our feet hung over the end of the bed; when we turned over in bed we bumped the wall; our knees hit the bidet when using the toilet; and there was not an empty shelf or a single drawer to put our clothes or groceries. We could hang some clothes, but most stayed in our suitcases in the middle of the floor. This space would work best for a short, thin person who planned to spend most of his/her time sightseeing.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your apartment. It offered everything we needed, comfortable, blissfully quiet, well located but hidden away from the main tourist trails. The piazza next to your home is the most characterful in Florence and we mainly found ourselves there in the evenings as it boasts great places to eat, drink and a lovely little ice cream shop (essential in the 30 degree heat). You were a most generous and accommodating host and if we are back in Florence again we will definately try to stay here again. All the best, Tom and Alice
Patrizia's English-speaking helper arrived at the appointed time to greet us and provide plenty of helpful information. We found the apartment and the bed small, and a view limited to that of other people's windows but otherwise liked it very much. Things worked, the wifi signal was strong, street noise was absent and the location was great.
Our stay was very enjoyable. We had communication by email and then by text with Sabina, Patrizia's friend, so collection of the keys and introduction to the apartment was excellent. Appartemento Mughetto is small as expected, but very well designed. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It has a good bathroom with a great shower. We loved the area, so close to Ponte Vecchio but tucked away with a feeling of being part of a community who lived there. Close by are a small piazza, a great trattoria, a cafe and a gelateria. There is a good supermarket a few minutes walk away. We were very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence, and would highly recommend this apartment.
Great studio apartment for your stay in Florence. My fiance and I had a great time here and the apartment had everything we needed. The apartment is within a 10-15 walk to all the main points in Florence and we had a great time staying there. There is also a small piazza just down the street with nice restaurants and bars. Great place to have a drink and relax in the evenings.
What a spacious and clean apartment in a fantastic location! You are literally right in the centre of everything in Florence, plus at the end of the laneway there is the cutest little wine and foccacia store (there's often a queue so get in early). Would definitely stay here again!
